Talk about flying under the radar. I haven't seen this talked about anywhere. Apparently, Namco Bandai are releasing a Thundercats Video Game for the Nintendo DS. The game is being developed by Aspect Digital, who previously worked on Naruto: Ninja Council.
Siliconera got a chance to play a demo of the game at the Global Gamer's Day press conference, where the game wasn't even announced, but just sitting on the demo floor unceremoniously. The game will be a side-scrolling brawler. In the game you play only as Lion-O, who can be assisted by the other Cats. The game is set to follow the cartoon story closely. It will feature sound effects and voices from the cartoon and will feature concept art as unlockable extras.
Thundercats for the Nintendo DS is scheduled for a release in August 2012. Click the headline of the story to check out some screen shots!
Looks like the UK is getting a pretty cool Thundercats Sword of Omens In-Line Scooter. Kids Playstore has put up a pre-order for the scooter. It is scheduled to be released in May at a price of £26.99 (about $42 USD).

I have contacted cartoon network to see if they would clarify what is going on. The initial response was as follows:
"Thundercats just premiered its second season on March 24 and new episodes continue on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. ET/PT."
I pressed a bit further, hoping to get a little more clarity. This was the response from that request.
"I understand, and while Im sorry you are dealing with lots of inquiries its nice to know that the fans love the show and are so engaged. The premieres will continue."
While they didn't address the press release directly, it looks as if the show will go on.
Original Story
A recent Cartoon Network Press Release touted a series of new and returning shows to the network. Noticeable absent from the list was our very own Thundercats. Does this indicate it has been canceled? Probably a bit too early to put the nails in the coffin here. Dan Norton (Thundercats Art director) didn't help things, though, when he posted a non-answer when pressed about the possible cancellation.
We will be sure to cover this as any news unfolds. Right now, we know Thundercats is just starting their second season. Sit back, relax, and enjoy what we have for as long as we have it. The more support you give the show, the less likely this rumor will become a reality.

Finally adding listings for figures like Claudus, Wave 2 Panthro, Slithe and some of the others. They have also added the new role play Panthro Nunchucks. Nothing to get too excited over, but at least the site is being kept up to date.
