He is a producer for Namco Bandai of America. In the video, we get confirmation that Lion-O is the only playable character. It also gives us our first look at the gameplay in motion.
We get to see Lion-O calling upon Tygra to clear out a screen filled with enemies. We also get to see how combat will work, which looks fairly basic. Run, jump, slash, rinse and repeat. Levels will be based on locations from the cartoon and both Slithe and Mumm-Ra have been confirmed as enemies in the game. No word on more recent show additions like Kaynar and Addicus. For now, you can check out the brief video below. | | Credit: gametrailers.com | Views: 569 | | | Posted on 04-17-2012 at 10:50 AM by Joe Moore under Thundercats Statues and Other Products News. | Talk about flying under the radar. I haven't seen this talked about anywhere. Apparently, Namco Bandai are releasing a Thundercats Video Game for the Nintendo DS. The game is being developed by Aspect Digital, who previously worked on Naruto: Ninja Council. Siliconera got a chance to play a demo of the game at the Global Gamer's Day press conference, where the game wasn't even announced, but just sitting on the demo floor unceremoniously. The game will be a side-scrolling brawler. In the game you play only as Lion-O, who can be assisted by the other Cats. The game is set to follow the cartoon story closely. It will feature sound effects and voices from the cartoon and will feature concept art as unlockable extras. Thundercats for the Nintendo DS is scheduled for a release in August 2012. With it's mix of melee weaponry as well as firearms, Thundercats holds the potential for a fantastic video game.
So, with the major slow down in news, let's have some fun discussion. What would YOU want from a Thundercats video game? Would it be an old school brawler akin to the Konami arcade games of the 90's? Would you want a huge open world game? How about a linear adventure game ala God of War?
Stop by our Ongoing Discussion Thread and tell us what you would want in your ideal Thundercats Video Game.

The shoes will be produced by Converse. There are Hightop Thundercats Sneakers for the guys and a pair of Cheetara themed shoes for the ladies! The Cheetara shoes feature felt around the cheetah spots for added detail and texture.
