While you make a good point that petroleum plays a large part in the production cost of plastics, it's still moot because most 6"-7" premium action figures, such as NECA, only cost around $15 - $18....

Only issue so far my son has had is with 4" Mumm-Ra. His waist armor and arm-bands just would not stay on. I ended up glueing everything on. He's much happier now.

If you find anything at a store other than TRU, let me know what the price was for the deluxe 4" figures. TRU is charging $15. Kmart.com has them listed at I think $12.
