What I wonder, is how did the writers think we would see Cheetara? They've made her seem deceptive and untrustworthy, so with the exception of some T/C fans, everybody in this thread for example...

Agreed. I don't even want Cheetara with Lion-o after how she treated him. I just don't find her to be a likeable character anymore.
