Yeah he obviously never told Lion-O the truth. He was ashamed. Doesn't make it right, but it makes it understandable.

As I 1st stated grune is a psychcopath and tygra is a sociopath. A sociopath can become emotionally attached to others and are capable of feeling guilt, shame and remorse if they hurt those they care for unlike a psychopath has no such feelings. Grune didn't care when he thought he killed panthro who was like a brother to him. Tygra felt remorse and shamefor what he did unlike grune. But at the base they share a lot of the same characteristics
