It would have been natural if she kissed him after she said she needs to make her feelings more clear or I chose along time ago. Then she could gone into the flashback, because now we know why she chose. She kissed him because she owed him a thank for the flower.

I agree with lion-o seeing it, but it came after I owe you a thank you. If you like someone, you don't need a reason to kiss them for a thank you.
