The only thing different is that Lion-O might have been more accepting to their suggestion of stopping for rest. They still would've gotten ambushed. Who Cheetara chose had nothing to do with The Mutant's plan.

Lion-o wouldn't have pushed on. Look at his pic, he is PO. He is acting rash. They might have been ambused, but I don't think lion-o would've have been dead.
