Originally WB created 26 season1 episodes, those 26 episodes pratically finished already, but CN had other plans they wanted 13 Episodes per season. thus this long break. The original Season 1 Finale is EP 26 not EP 13. So storywise still Ep26 the real season1 finale. That's why they dare to take a gamble with Ep 13 with the Thunderdads, because it was not the season 1 finale.
