From this interview they're just treating the figures that were just released as their "new for 2012" figures. She doesn't act like the line is dead or anything like that.

And she ends with, "With the continued success of the TV Show we want to continue creating new great characters for the line."

Personally I think they're holding back because new figures might be spoilers. They've already done the main cast. Everything else will either be new characters or new versions of old characters.
