I think what really made the idea of a Lion-O/Cheetara ship in the old series was Lion-O's bieng an aged up child, and that Cheetara had been one of his caretakers.

It was all the little things and them going to thundera.

Ships are crazy.

That is why maybe they should've stayed away from romance.
