If Mummra does know how to remove the spell, it would have to be something he learned recently, since he wanted Jaga to remove it before. Of course with Mummra's luck, the second he's about to remove the spell Lion-o will return from death, and shout "Sword of Omens, come to my hand", and blast Mummra forcing him to retreat.
