I don't know how toy companies work, but I have a theory that when a new toy line is being produced (like Thundercats) they make enough for a small Wave 2. This way, if the line fails, they won't be so upside down on production costs. However, if the line does good, they can go and release another Wave to keep fans happy while they start production on a new batch of toys, which in this case would be technically a Wave 3.
I just think that for Thundercats there will be a pretty large Wave 3 of toys. Or at least I hope so... |
