Question about Claudus's face

Finally found a Claudus today and got him. I am a tad concerned becausehe has a brown line across his face. I can't tell if this is intentional or if it is a paint defect. The artwork doesn't show it. Anyone else have a line across the face?

I guess it's supposed to be a scar. I was looking at a thread earlier with pics of him and that figure had it as well. I assume it is supposed to be there. I will have to get some pics in the next few days so I can post them.
