6 Inch Tygra at Marshalls for $5.99

The Tygra case is finally hitting discounters as we all expected. I found one Tygra yesterday at Marshalls along with the 6 inch Lion-o and Cheetara. I guess someone else got the other Tygra or it's still in the stockroom or lying around the store somewhere since these places are typically a mess.

They had:

6" Tygra, Liono, Cheetara @ 5.99
4" figures @ 3.99
Thundertank @ 12.99

So don't feed the scalpers, because they're out there folks. Check your Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross, etc. asap.

Heh, yeah ok. Hate to bust that bubble of denial you and Indycat have going but I found 2 more Tygras at another Marshall's today. Though at this one, they were $7.99 instead of $5.99 for whatever reason.

But here is a picture of it at Marshalls. And one after purchase showing the pricetags, which they are putting on the sides, and the receipt. And also here is a picture of the Tygra and Cheetara I got at the first Marshalls yesterday for $5.99.

I don't understand the hostility to what is really good news for everyone. If you still can't handle it, I would suggest staying away from any Marshalls so that you are not disappointed.

Oddly my Marshalls only carrys old as hell gi joes and transformers that look like they were opened, beat to hell and returned.

I didn't deny they could be at retail. I merely said they may not be found in large quantity. Therefore still rare. Who knows though. Not me.

The fact that BBTS doesn't seem to have any trouble getting cases containing 2 of them points to them not being that rare.

The 4 inch figures that they had at Marshalls for $3.99 were all from the first wave, unfortunately. And they only had the Thundertank, no Stormchargers.

Not really relavent. That guy posted the same two auctions last week. Both are loose and the one is missing the whip. Even the loose complete is still about $30 shipped.

Score!!!...thanks for the heads up. Just read this thread and boogied out to closest marshall's @ lunch...BAM!! picked up 2 ...they also had 1 x Lion-O and 1 x Cheetara...for $5.99...they only had 4 x 3 3/4 " ones and they were $3.99 - THANKS!!!!

Went to every Marshalls, TJ MAX, and Ross store in my county yesterday and found no 6" figures at all. My area sucks for toy collecting...used to be able to find stuff all the time...really depressing knowing that people all over the place are able to find these figures.

I didn't see much at Ross as I popped in there quick on the way back... had a few older Iron Man figs...didn't go into TJ Maxx which is in basically same plaza...didn't think they had toys.... gonna do the round again on Fri and will hit up TJ as well.

It's not the first time I've seen price disparities amongst Maxx/Marshall's stores. Usually they're consistent, but on occasion I've seen items I just found in one store for 2-5$ less.

I've already got two 6" Tygras but decided to go by my local Marshalls to see what they had. I'd definitely pick up more at a cheap price

Anyways there were no 6" anything but they did have 4 Thundertanks in very beat up boxes for $12 (too much for the condition of the boxes) and one lonely 4" Mummy Mummra for $3.00 lol

I'm gonna be checking back every once in a while though in hopes of finding something good.

It's worth a shot but I wouldn't go in with high expectations. What your seeing at TJ Maxx and Marshalls is all the wave 2 stock Bandai shipped to the distribution centers that never made it to the big 3 (TRU, WalMart, Target) because those stores cancelled or stopped their orders for more. So now all those cases which have been sitting there for months are making their way to the liquidation stores.

Is there a Slythe among them? I'd hope so but I'd say the chances are very slim as the cases containing him I believe never made it to the distribution centers. Only select retailers like BBTS got those cases once in a blue moon cause they are an actual retailer ordering from Bandai.

But hey, the "hunt" is one of the most exciting parts of collecting right?

Hopefully someone finds one.

probably to late to tell you....but you can get them from shopafx for $19.99. they were $19.99 when they released to the public after SDCC.

oh well you win some you lose some...I just received my box from BBTS with my tygras and slithe. paid full retail, but at least I have them in hand.

Went to Marshalls today to scope it out. Saw Thundercats merch (tower of omens, thundertank (both $12.99), lion-o classic 8" for $7.99 and lion-o 6" modern). Saw no Tygra or any other figs. Encouraging but also kinda a bummer.

TJ Maxx doesn't seem to be getting anything Thundercats related (yet). I went to two TJ Maxx's and two Marshalls today. Both Marshalls had Thundercats stuff (Wave 1) while TJ Maxx had nothing.

I'm hoping if the wave 1 stuff is there, they'll get some wave 2 soon, but I already have everything minus the deluxe Slythe so anything else I find would just be for my desk at work.

Edit: I forgot to mention I also stopped by a super WalMart I had never been to and there were about 20 Mummy Mummras, nothing else. Someone either at WB or Bandai really fudged up when they produced a million mummy Mummras in anticipation of it being the best selling toy of the century.

I now have all of the modern Thundercats both in 4" and 6" after my auction win for a 2-pack of 6" Tygra and Cheetara ($28 for both -- it would have been $18 but there was some last minute bidding, drat

). I'm jealous of those that could find them in stores, but all-in-all i'm happy.
