Takara-Tomy has released an official image of the upcoming Encore #22 Twincast through their Twitter page this morning. This is the first non-mockup picture of the upcoming toy, which is set for release later this month.
This is also the first actual photos of the Nightstalker and Stripes cassette companions for the toy. The two characters have not seen a release beforehand, but both have an interesting history with one being a bot cut from the 1986 movie (Stripes) and the other as Ravage's partner in the Marvel UK Comics. Hasbro is doing some marketing for Transformers: Prime these days. With Season 2 started and Toys arriving on shelves, no wonder they’ll go for it since the next Live Action Movie won’t be around for another 2 years.
Two iconic characters are identified occupying New York City’s Time Square; one being Pinkie-Pie from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the other being Optimus Prime from Transformers: Prime. 2005 Boards Member ANDROID PRIME managed to get few snaps of the Autobot Leader, looking upon the citizens of New York. Take a look, after the jump. |

Japanese site Hobbysearch has updated with some in-package images of the upcoming Encore Twincast and Soundblaster releases. These in package images show the new box art for the toys plus the product photos on the side flaps, and the actual toys in their inner plastic trays. Apparently they both sport "upgraded" paint on the faces in the same style as some previous Encore releases. Check out the listing pages at Hobbysearch for Twincast here and Soundblaster here.

The grand new Transformers Prime line keeps on rolling out with new releases! Less than a month after wave 1 hit the US, wave 2 - which adds Autobot Ratchet and Arcee into the mix - have arrived on US pegs as well. They have previously been available online at Hasbro Toy Shop, but now they are turning up in good old fashioned brick and mortar retail! 2005 Boards member SALI spotted this dynamic Autobot duo in a Target in California.
Don't forget you can also catch the next new episode of Transformers Prime, Orion Pax Part 2, this weekend at 8:30 ET / 5:30 PT on The Hub. |

Takara-Tomy is rolling out the promotion for Transformers Prime, which sees its mainline release in Japan next month. And in their usual grand tradition, it's a Micron Campaign! Starting tomorrow, 25 February, the clear green version of Cyclonus' Nightstick Targetmaster named Vector Oracle will be given away in Toys R Us Japan with any purchase of Transformers items totalling more than 3,000 yen. He's a limited edition of 4,000 pieces.
Next up with the reservation of Transformers Prime Arms Micron Optimus Prime at participating retailers is Firebolt! A black and gray version of Power Core Combiners Pinpoint, who came with Leadfoot, he is a perfect complement to the recently released United Rodimus Convoy. |

Toy World HK and Cybergundam Blog have put up scans from the March editions of Figure King and Dengeki Hobby, respectively. Figure King gives us a look at the first six Transformers Prime Japan toys - Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Ratchet, Megatron and Skywarp. These toys are at a lower price than previous Deluxe and Voyager Class releases in Japan, achieved by taking a step back to the earlier days when Transformers had less paint and used stickers for much of their details - Ratchet, for example, has the stripe on the side of his ambulance mode added by a sticker.
Each of the six toys has also got added hardpoints for mounting the Arms Microns who come with them - Aupi(オーピー) for Optimus, Beetoo(ビーツー) for Bumblebee, Ciel(シエル) for Cliffjumper, Arue(アルエ) for Ratchet. Gora(ゴラ) for Megatron, Baro(バロ) for Skywarp (many thanks to 2005 Boards member Ricochet for providing the names). The Arms Microns come as unassembled kits, and feature clear Energon Crystal parts. They can also be combined to form larger weapons, as demonstrated in some of the scans. There is also some coverage in both publications of MP-11 Starscream Version 2, focusing largely on the new additions to the design, namely the coronation scene gear. One page from Figure King shows Starscream in a commanding pose in front of Henkei Ramjet and Astrotrain - which looks pretty awesome! Read on to check out our mirror of all the scans. |

It's going to be exclusively available at Roll Out Roll Call 2012 on 10-11 March 2012 at the Jury's Inn, Southampton, UK. Visit the Roll Out Roll Call 2012 homepage over at All the Cool Stuff to find out more! Credit to Full Metal Hero for the first look at this interesting piece. |

Igear has updated their Facebook page with some new pictures of their upcoming MW-04 UFO custom figure. This figure is based on Generation 1 Cosmos and comes complete with a blaster and space helmet. These pictures also give us a look at the new size of the Mini-Warrior figures from Igear as we previously reported. The figures will now be closer to Scout size then Legends.
Check out the pics after the break. |

One of the key bones of contention with the TFC Toys Hercules was the color of the mixing barrel. Many posts were dedicated to requesting, asking, demanding a purple colored mixing barrel for Hercules. For those of you who are in this position, CrazyDevy has just the thing - a third party upgrade for a third party Transformer in the form of a purple colored mixing barrel for your Mad Blender! It's due out in March 2012, and it's also up for preorder at TFSource now.

We've got a couple of sightings of the next new releases in the Transformers Bot Shots series for you now. The Bot Shots launchers have apparently been released at US retail - we've got a confirmed sighting by 2005 Boards member Megahavok in a Walmart in Riverside CA, and also an apparent Target sighting from Peaugh in Richmond VA. The Bot Shot launchers are little base / launcher sets that can combine with the included Bot Shots to form larger vehicles or convert into their base launcher mode to fire Bot Shots at each other.
For those on the hunt for these at Target, Peaugh informs us that the DPCI you want to be checking is 087-06-0528. |

Our sponsors TFSource have put up some new images of the upcoming release from BTS Toys. Nightfang and Savage are cassettes for their Sonicron third party Soundwave, who also fit in the orignal Soundwave, and are based on Ratbat and Ravage respectively. This set of Minions is due for an April release, TFSource price, $29.95 for the set of two. Not shown here are the combined modes between these two cassettes and the previously released Tremor & Frequenzy.

Toys R Us Japan has prepared for the launch of Super Robot Life Forms Transformers Prime with new flyers! These flyers show the figures paired with their Arms Micron partners. Also shown is an Arms Micron sword formed by 3 Arms Microns. Figures go on sale March 31st. Here's a description of the Arms Microns by 2005 boards member Transformed, who posted the scans!
Arms Microns are small Transfomers, which can transform into weapons. They strengthen the Transformers; moreover, when Arms Micron’s merge they become very powerful weapons. Optimus Prime’s Arms Micron (AM-01) is a purple gun that looks a lot like Shockwave. Megatron comes with a pretty cool looking black and purple gorilla (Optimus Primal?). The flier says to check out the monthly comic, Korokoro Comic, for more information about Arms Microns. Also, those who make a reservation for AM-01 Optimus prime by 3/31 will receive a bonus Arms Micron character named Autobot Firebolt; however, this piece is limited to 2,500 pieces so those of you that want one should inquire about it while making a reservation to insure that you do indeed get one. Check out the scans after the jump! |

Thanks to Transformers Singapore Facebook Page-Planet Iacon, we have a scan of the Dark Of The Moon Deluxe Soundwave figure's instructions. These instructions show off what is an alternate head for the mold that could quite possibly be a movie version of Blaster. Bare in mind, the deluxe Soundwave figure has been canceled by Hasbro and won't be getting a release in the US at this time. So, whether or not this figure will see the light of day in the states is up in the air. This could quite possibly see a release in Asia though. We will keep you posted on TFW.
Click the link and speculate on what could be or what could have been on the 2005 Boards |

BTS Toys has sent us even more images of their upcoming unofficial Ravage and Ratbat cassettes, Savage and Nightfang. These new images extensively show off the whole set and also include a brief glimpse at the combined mode with Tremor / Frequenzy. There are also some comparison images with the original versions of the characters.
Read on and check out all the new images. If you like what you see, you can preorder both of these as a set at our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource. The initial set of Frequenzy and Tremor are also in stock at TFSource and Big Bad Toy Store - we're informed these have now finished production so once they are gone restocks are unlikely. |
