I need some help guys. i have a lion-o from when i was a kid brand new never opened but im not sure it is real. how can you tell if it is or it isnt? Someone gave it too me for my birthday a long time ago. Any help would help.

I got it for my birthday when i was a kid. Since i already had one i simply never opened it. My doubt was because some of the painting on it was pretty sloppy. And with proof of purchase not saying how many points its worth. And also the address for the thundercats club is outside the US.

The bottom left hand corner says ljn, that is a snowflake border, it speaks of battlematic action, as far as the sloppy paint job this was a common problem with alot of 80s action figures where you wondered if they were even trying to get the paint apps correct.

I dont know my friend, if this is a forgery someone went through an awful lot of trouble to make it look that good.

Id go on a limp and say maybe its fake because of the sloppy painting on sword and chlaw shield, but maybe thats how they made it.

This looks like a later release though, which might explain the differences. The first release didn't show the new Thundercats at the back.
