You are one lucky person to still have them all in the original packaging. Although I'm sure you've been tempted throughout the years to open up one or two of them.

Most everything has been opened, I just took care of the boxes and when it was time, I packed them away back in them.

i have to know, how did you come accross all of these?

1/2 of your figures are going for hundreds (usually loose as hell), have you thought about selling them?

As I mentioned before, all the figures and veh./playsets have been opened. I just saved their packages to pack them back up in after the line died and I wanted to put them up.

It wasn't easy collecting the set, a lot that shouldn't have went on the back burner to pay for the figures and run all over the southeast looking for them. If I knew then what I know now I'm not sure I would have still did it.

As for selling them, no I haven't thought of it before and I probably want ever. That will be something my wife or children will do after I'm gone, along with everything else.

And this picture is like two years old, more then this now.

thanks for replying!

so you bought all of them in the 80s?

even though they are opened they are still an incredible investment.

Yes in the 80's. A lot of stuff was pouring out into the market then.

radical. you sir have lived out a "time traveler" fantasy of mine. back in 85-87 I was too young to understand keeping accessories, condition and future value, so I destroyed my thundercats (and lost them).

the fantasy is to travel back in time and collect all of them via retail stores, which is what you did apparantly.

did you have any idea back in the 80s that what you were doing was going to be this epic?

Don't tell me all those other boxes are filled with goodies as well?

Anyhow, it's a very nice collection of 80s stuff. The one thing that struck me as I browsed through was the plastic Lion-O mask. That's just hilarious to look at.

I started collecting when I was 5 with the Best of the West line and Major Matt Mason. I'm 48 now. I still buy things I like but have slowed down a lot, except in how much money I spend because mainly of what I buy; Hot Toys figures.

And yes, all the boxes are full of action figures, vehicles, and play sets.
