When they first revealed "barrel smashy" Slithe, I planned on waiting for a non-action gimmick figure... like that one. Slithe, Atticus and Kaynar should have been on the shelves long before the Armor of Omens or the Tiger Flyer. It boggles my mind how badly this toyline was handled. At least we got a full set of Thundercats, but geez, the villains are lacking in action figure form.

Thundercats 4 inch Action Figure for Collectibles | GameStop

"Item chosen at random" basically guarantees you'll get a Panthro or Lion-o. This reminds me of when K-mart had a bunch of unreleased G.I. Joe stuff listed online, but when people ordered it, they just got the garbage clogging the shelves. If someone orders these, I'd be fascinated to see what they get...

So how does it work exactly? You just place an order and you wait and get a random figure? Sorry I'm a noob

I emailed Bandai and attached the picture asking if those figures were actually produced and are being sold thru GameStop, we'll see what they say.

I went to do it, but after tax and the cheapest shipping brought one figure up to almost $13.00. I just can't justify it when there is a good chance of getting one I already have that I could get for about $3.00 now.
The figures are not available in store for pick up so get ready for a big old corporate bag of Lion-O's.

Wow, I hadnt noticed that. It would be a cool figure to have...

What are the chances that they actually have this Tygra and Grune? Has anyone ever seen an image of one of these before? I am just wondering where Gamestop got this picture for sure.

So the Grune, Tygra and Slithe are the newish figures, would that have been "wave 3" and if these were produced wouldn't these have leaked on some of the chinese bootleg sites or ebay?

I really wish that Tygra had been released...The headsculpt doesn't look like it would have been any less derpy than the first one, but I would have gotten this. Slithe and Grune would have been rather tempting too.

I can't really tell from the small picture, but they may have just repainted a bunch of wave 1 or wave 2 4" Tygra's to try and raise some demand, plus get rid of all the surplus sitting in some warehouse somewhere.

You guys probably caught it but Grune's outfit is the one he wore when he and Panthro were still bros. I would imagine that Slithe had normal articulated shoulders instead of the action feature too.

That's...NOT how repaints work...and even based on this small pic, it's obviously a new sculpt anyways...

If you can tell from that tiny pic that it is a brand new Tygra sculpt, then more power to you.

He doesn't have any armor on. It's difficult to paint that off...

There would have been a prototype slip from China by now if those were even contenders...... they are probably very early sculpts that were being prepped for wave 3 and never got made.

The sad truth is my collection of the new toy line hasn't seen the light of day since I bought them, so I already forgot that the Tygra had armor on it.

I would love to get the Tygra, Slithe, and Grune figures. Never got the barrel tossing Slithe.

That Tygra reminds me of an updated classic version of Tygra.

Just spoke to a Gamestop that has these figures in stock and sadly no Grunes, Slithes or new Tygra, just reg Tygra, Lion-o and Mumm-ra. Save your money and skip this tease.

Though I do wonder where they got this picture, any thoughts?

Had to have been solicited by bandai at some point because it looks like the rest of the promo pictures bandai released for the line. Bandai never replied to my email either about the photo...jerks.

Ok englishw, looks like there are few more prototypes for you to track down .

I'll trade you the storm charger for the Tygra.

I'm really bummed that these won't be making their way to us, but I have to say, I would have been much more bummed if the prototypes had been Pumyra, Atticus, Kaynar, etc. Still bummed, but it could have been worse.

I love that I am now a boy on this forum .

Anyway I thought I would give one final update to this thread. I realized I would be driving by a Holiday Gamestop that had these in stock and decided to have a look for myself.

Total pain in the rearo forgot it was Saturday on a holiday weekend so the mall was flipping packed and since this is a temp store it isn't on the main directory so I got to walk the entire Onterio Mills Mall.

Sadly like I thought once I found the store there were only three wave 2 4" figures two cheetaras and one regular tygra, lots of skylanders, some small lego set and some power rangers but nothing new
