Cool.

So, is someone planning on checking out Bandai's booth and reporting to us?

We have a full team at the show for all of our sites. If there's anything to be seen, we'll have it here.

Hmmm. So the only way to get the decrepit version of Mumm-ra is via that two-pack?

Yup. Sucks for those of us who already bought the Ever Living Mumm-Ra figure separately! Gah!

Mezco are almost leading the way in the modern 'classic' TC's line. Shame they didnt freelance their sculptors and designers to Bandai. Although i know its all about business and making an affordable small toy that can be pushed out, still bring back LJN

"Glow-in-the-dark" ever-living form!?!?! Whaaaaat!?! That's way too gnarly. Even though I already have the single Mezco release, I might have to pick this two-pack up as this gimmick added some incentive beyond just the decrepit version. I sure do love me some gitd! Anyone have pics of him "glowing" yet?

Really excited to get this Mumm-ra exclusive and Panthro! Any way of asking the fine folks at Mezco for a little hint of who/what is next to come? Or at least get some assurances that there IS more to come? I was burned by Hard Heroes (and Bandai), but I really have high hopes from Mezco!

I ordered the Mumm-Ra 2-pack from Mezco as soon as I heard about it, before SDCC. They took my money lightning-quick, but it still hasn't shipped. Joe, do you or anybody reading this have a ship date? They have not responded to my emails at all.

* EDIT *

A bit of an update. I found out why they didn't reply. My emails BOUNCED, from all of their accounts.

These are all no good:

info@mezcotoyz.com
customercare@mezcotoyz.com
sales@mezcotoyz.com

I've used the contact form as well:

http://www.mezcotoyz.com/contacts/index/

But, no replies there either. I am going to try the toll-free number tomorrow (1-888-996-3926).

Probably won't ship for a few days, if not longer. Recovering from a con like SDCC isn't something that most companies do overnight. Especially when they are distributing items themselves.

I wouldn't worry. I don't think they sent out shipping notices and that they shipped them out before the con. I won't know until I get home tonight but I recieved a package today i believe is the exclusive mumras

No shipping to Army Post Office addresses? BOO! That's just un-American! I mean seriously! Even Army Brats gotta have their Mumm-Ra fix! Do you have any family/friends nearby that could help out and have it shipped to them?

Yes, bloody wankers those Mezco folks are. I do have peeps back in the states I could lean on to help me out, but I don't want to burden them with the minutia that is my toy hunting. They have other, more important things to concern themselves with. Plus there is the standard cost of shipping to them domestically only to have them turn around, double-down and forward to me over here. All told, it's not really worth it. I can just purchase elsewhere for approximately the same cost and have it shipped direct. That is, unless, I can proctor a trade for a MISB set via one of these boards.

Once yours arrives would you do us all the kind service of posting pics? I'm particularly interested in seeing the glow-in-the-dark feature inherent in that EL form figure. Thanks in advance!

To my surprise, it arrived today. I live in NY, and it was shipped from NY, so that was fast!

Here's some pictures:

My initial concern was that the added glow in the dark paint would detract from Mumm-Ra's blue appearance in regular lighting conditions, but that concern has been lifted. Mezco did not over-do the additional paint, and he looks great.

Up next, I am going to attempt to take pictures of him glowing in the dark. I gotta get the tripod and stuff for that to even remotely work.

I was unsuccessful in getting any glowing shots. I am going to try and shoot video next and hopefully the camera will pick it up.

Now that it's opened, here's some more:

The last picture shows the slight green tint of the glow paint. That's just because of the flash and it does not show or detract from the figure at all to the naked eye.

I just tried to shoot video, and it didn't pick it up. I'm not sure what to try from here. My camera is an Olympus FE-310 if anyone has any ideas. The only way I could get it to work is with a blacklight, and I don't have one.

@User897...thanks for the pics...set looks good, but that was to be expected. No worries about not being able to showcase the GITD feature. Tricky proposition I'm sure. In any event, in your opinion, how well does it "glow"?

But cotdamn...I need to get a hold of that decrepit version. This set is a must!

The glow works really well. Every bit of blue skin glows in the dark from head to toe. His face, toes, everything. It is brightest on his hands, as if he is focusing some kind of evil energy there to attack with. The glow lasts all through the night, too!

I was just thinking that Mezco could enlarge the decayed form Mumm-Ra, put a coin slot in the back, and a stopper in the bottom, and they have a coin bank.

They look great. personal preference is that they're too big, other than that they look great. To me second only to the Icon heroes stuff.

Bravo!

THIS is how Thundercats should be done.

Naw...interest is still there. Thanks for taking the time to post the "glowing" pics btw. Even though I'm sure it look worlds better in person as the pics don't do it full justice, I still get the gist. This set is awesome; a must-have for me which is why I'm elated to find...
