Thundercats Classic question

Do the new Classic Thundercats figures work with the old LJN playsets and vehicles? Can the new figures ride the old thundertank or is the scale all wrong? Thanks for any help, would love to see some pictures.

I don't have any of the old vehicles but I do have an old LJN Lion-O and the new 6-inch classic is smaller that he is so I assume he would fit in Thundertank but probably move around a bit.
