TFC Toys have revealed the release dates (and in two cases, the names) for their six Hercules custom Transformers. Get your diaries people, here's when you can look for these non-Constructicon lime green and purple tradesbots.

Exgraver - Coming Soon!
Heavylabor - September 2011
Stuctor - November 2011
Dr Crank - December 2011
Neckbreaker - March 2012
Mad Blender - April 2012

So, unless you want to double up on Structors and Exgravers, you've got nearly an 8 month wait until you can complete Hercules. Will it be worth it? Are you patient enough to wait until April next year for the final product? Sound off on the boards!

Here's the full list of new additions:

According to Box Office Mojo, Transformers Dark of the Moon has raked in a total of 43.2 million dollars through Wednesday. This includes preview numbers from limited IMAX 3D showings on Tuesday. This does not include international numbers or Thursday US numbers. The film has an estimated production budget of $195 million.

These numbers are still under Revenge of the Fallen stats, but, that could be part of the problem. People still have the ROTF taste in their mouth.

2005 Board Member Airfox has dropped by some news about Transformers Dark of the Moon showings in Venezuela.

During the last 2 days, ads related to the premiere of Transformers 3 have been dropped from the web pages of Cines Unidos and Cinex. Cinex's spokepersons on Twitter posted a comment stating that the movie has been "Suspended until further notice."

However, this announcement hasn't met the fans demands for information. Fans are clamoring for answers. There have been many rumors regarding the suspension, some think - and this is the hypothesis with the most mentions - that the movie has a plot that includes Venezuela.

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has posted images of a call sheet for filming in Chicago on July 27-28th, 2010 "with" Megatron and Ultra Magnus. Early this year a redacted call sheet was posted online with Magnus listed as a character. While not the same sheet this does further confirm that, for at least a while, the character of Sentinel Prime was going to be called Ultra Magnus. Test screening apparently drove the change from Ultra Magnus to Sentinel Prime. The head of what would have been Ultra Magnus was re-used as what the Apollo 11 astronauts step on and uncover as they explore the ship.

Would Ultra Magnus have been a fitting character? Or did Hasbro have Paramount use a different name as to not tarnish the character in a similar way that Sentinel Prime was used instead of Rodimus in Animated?

Bigbadtoystore.com has put up preorders for a few out of the ordinary Transformers products.

First, are Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Electronic Banks to keep your money in to save up for those all expensive Transformers purchases.

Second, are the recently revealed Japanese Happy Meal Toys! Apparently, Transformers: Prime Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Optimus have scanned some fast food alt modes. You went get delicious nuggets and french fries with these, but you will get some nifty Transformers toys that have a lot of fans remembering the McChangeables line from back in the day.

Theknightshift.blogspot.com has posted an e-mail from composer Steve Jablonsky regarding the much anticipated score to Transformers Dark Of The Moon.

As you probably know the score is now up on iTunes. The physical CD situation has been more complicated. I finished the album weeks ago, but we didn't actually finalize it until a few days ago. Michael Bay is really happy with the score and he wanted to check out the album before it went out. As you might imagine, he's a busy dude. He's been flying all over the world promoting TF3, making it difficult to get approval. But I was happy that he wanted to be a part of the soundtrack and I did not want to release anything before he had his say. The record company tells me they need 4-6 weeks to get the album produced and into stores, which would put us into August at this point. A lot of discussion went into this, but the decision was made to wait on the physical CD, and release some kind of special edition alongside the blu-ray release (maybe autographed copies or other goodies, we don't know yet).

I know people are probably disappointed. Believe me I wish I could get physical CD's out there tomorrow. But it's just the way things went this time around. I can see why Paramount would rather not release a score CD almost 2 months after the movie release. To them it makes more sense to do something special around the blu-ray/DVD. I understand that.

So anyone interested in a CD should rest assured that it WILL happen. It just won't happen until later in the year unfortunately.

These big movies are so complex sometimes!! I hope you've been well!

Steve

The recent making of Transformers Dark of the Moon special that aired on Hubworld (and will be repeated throughout the coming days) includes a look at the behind the scenes making of Transformers Prime, and a shocking couple of lines of dialogue which strongly imply that a part of the Optimus Prime and Megatron backstory, as told in Transformers Exodus, will be coming to Transformers Prime. The lines in question are blacked out below - highlight them if you want to be spoiled on this plot twist:

JACK: Megatron was an Autobot?!
MIKO: Optimus was a 'CON?!?!

This should be good news for all of you yearning for more character development for Optimus Prime on Transformers Prime.

We've got some new information for you about the Transformers x McDonalds Japanese promotion. Yes, that is truly the name of it!

First of all, seen to the left are the true Transformers Happy Meal toys - an Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from Dark of the Moon.

The ones we have seen previously, and are featured on Takara-Tomy's McDonalds campaign page, are available in a different way. Bumblebee, aka Potato Bumblebee, is a TV Boy Magazine giveaway with the September edition like the clear Cyberverse Bumblebee.
To get Optimus Prime and Bulkhead, aka Burger Optimus and Shake Bulkhead, you go to McDonalds on July 30-31 and buy a Happy Meal. With the Happy Meal you get a "weekend exclusive Special DVD and Mechtech Sheet with red ticket". You then trade the ticket in at a toy store along with the purchase of Transformers Dark of the Moon products for one of Burger Optimus or Shake Bulkhead.

Talk about your complicated exclusive premium toys! Given the exclusive nature of these Japan only Transformers Prime items, the full set is sure to command a premium online in years to come.

Some more Transformers 3 Concept artwork has been posted online! This time out we have the works of Joel Chang and of The Aaron Sims Company.

Joel Chang's work is all about helping to envisage scenes - if you take a look at his portfolio you might recognise a few key scenes in there such as The Ark on the moon, Shockwave's entry, and the Decepticons bursting out of the surface of the moon.

The Aaron Sims Company has a mix of this and of character studies. There are some key scenes involving the Driller in there - mostly ones involving it destroying the skyscraper. There's also some character concepts though, namely a lot of work on the scientist Autobot who would become Que / Wheeljack. These earlier concepts gave him a labcoat look, and one features a monocle! There's also a concept for Brains in there, and some work on the Dreads.

Check them all out by clicking on the links above.

A pair of new auctions have popped up via CDSW on Taobao, showing off some previously unseen Transformers toys. First up is a look at an orange version of Roadbuster - based on the concept artwork or one of the cars Dale Jr drove last year, perhaps? The second is a look at the Deluxe Optimus Prime with gold flames and the Voyager Class MechTech weapon - which looks even more comically oversized than the usual MechTech weapons. It's probably an exclusive of some sort because of this fact, although no official confirmation has been on given on either yet. Keep it TFW for more information on these and other Transformers Dark of the Moon toys as it becomes available.

This information comes to you courtesy of Snakas.

TFC Toys have put up a preorder for their Exgraver on their Taobao account, and it comes accompanied by a series of previously unseen images of the toy, including a nice clear look at the storage of the hand in vehicle mode - and it tucks in very unobtrusively too. Click on the link above or read on for our mirror of the new images.

Box Office Mojo has recently updated with the five-day opening totals for the recently released movie. Over the weekend, Dark of the Moon has taken over the box-office with an estimated $97.4 million bringing the total so far to an $162,125,000 release, and a whopping $372,125,000 worldwide.

The opening weekend has been nearly $90 Million more profitable than the opening weekends of the first live-action movie ($70,502,384), and little over $54 million more profitable than Revenge of the Fallen's ($108,966,307.)

Could we see this movie break the $1 Billion Barrier?

BTS Toys have released some early images of a custom Not-Ravage cassette-con to go with their Sonicron not-Soundwave. This version of Ravage sticks fairly close in style to the original Ravage, going by these initial images - it just seems to feature some slightly more advanced design work. Check out the images of this first cassette-con from BTS Toys - we are informed there are others in the works included a Laserbeak, because where would Soundwave be without Laserbeak and Ravage?

Please note that these are only pictures of a proposed design in an early phase and may not materialize into an actual release.

You don't seriously need me to tell you what last week's big thing was, do you? An event that has been in the making for a long time finally arrived. Yes, TFWe Issue 2 was released! Our big Botcon roundup issue is packed full of great stuff, from reviews of the toys to a review of the convention itself, as well as a comic strip by the one and only Shibamura Prime and Deefuzz - a winning team if ever there was!

In all seriousness though, last week saw the launch of Transformers Dark of the Moon. This latest and greatest chapter in the Movie series features wall to wall action, excitement and some of the most amazing special effects I have ever laid eyes upon. It is seriously awesome! If Revenge of the Fallen left a bad taste in your mouth, Dark of the Moon will blow it away. Be sure to see it in 3D - Imax 3D if you can - because that is the way it is meant to be enjoyed.

Naturally, the launch of Dark of the Moon prompted a whole lot of news, including the review you have all been waiting for:

Information is reaching us from various online retailers of a new redeco of the Disney Label Mickey Mouse toy. So far we've had an Optimus Prime version, a halloween version, and a monochromatic version based on "Steamship Willy"... what's missing? How about a Mickey Mouse Transformer colored in traditional Mickey Mouse colors! Yes, it's been a bit of a wait since the original version, but if you want the Mouse in his traditional deco, this is the release for you. The truck mode also looks very sharp with a black cab and a red trailer.

Preorder online now at our sponsors TFSource! Thanks to FMH for the original heads-up.

EDIT: Keep an eye on your local stores, as the toy has begun making it's way to retail! TFW user Dah Padre has found and purchased the toy at a K-Mart in Chicago. Is the toy out in your area? If so, please be sure to be a total bro to your fellow collectors and share your finds with others in the TFW sightings forum!
