I always wish this made it to the DVD.

Why didn't the intro make it onto the dvd? It was on my original vhs tape that I had.

The DVD's were made from later VHS "masters" (I use that term very loosely). Chances are that a usable version didn't exist when they were authoring the DVD's. The DVD sets themselves are fairly bare bones. Not a ton of effort was put into their release, especially considering how extensive some cartoon DVD's have been.
