Thundercats 2011 season one DVD or Blu-ray

A long time ago I heard talk of a Thunder cats 2011 Blu-ray being released sometime in the future.
But all I've seen is book one volume 1 on DVD, and that only contains the first eight episodes and I haven't heard any talk of a second volume.
Is there going to be a Blu-ray release?
Or at least a volume 2 so we can have the complete season one?
I have searched these forms but I can't find any news on it.
I would love to own the new series on high-definition Blu-ray, or standard DVD.
With all the filesharing websites going down filesonic fileserve megaUpload etc.
people who don't have cartoon network and internationally won't be able to see the show either without a full release.
So we need a full Blu-ray or DVD release of the show to share with the fans here and internationally, so that this fantastic reboot will not be lost to time.

Eventually, there will be a full season on DVD. I am holding out hope for a blu-ray release, but that hope is slim.

Any word on a full season box?
Or at least Second volume to be released?

my guess is that they're waiting for more episodes so they don't release a "book" that only has 5 episodes.

If I'm not mistaken WB is releasing the DVDs not CN, and for the WB season 1 is 26 episodes and I think they'll wait for 26 for the boxed set.

Btw my answer was I'm waiting for the season 1 boxed DVD set. I don't have an HDTV so bluray is kinda pointless for me.

The reason I like blue ray Discs They are a lot more scratch resistant so your So your movies, games ,TV shows are around a lot longer than the standard DVDS.
Plus it has five times the amount of storage of a regular DVD.
I would still buy season one on DVD in a full set.

I didn't know they were more scratch resistant. But still most of my DVDs don't get all that scratched. I'm pretty careful with them.

yes they are quite scratch resistant, that my videogame store will Not attempt to repair Blu-ray discs.
and they're quite useful for people who travel.
speaking from personal experience here, no matter what you do Your disks always manage to get scratched somehow when you travel.

PS:
DVDs I mean.

Personally I'll be waiting for a full season DVD. With only thirteen episodes per season, there's no reason they shouldn't be able to put out a full season DVD set. Transformers Prime's first season is twenty-six episodes long and it's getting a full season DVD set.

I won't touch anything until they do full season sets on Blu-Ray. Unless it is a tv series made before 2000, I will not touch a DVD release, and I no longer do individual volumes. Full seasons or bust for me.

DecepticonSpike 02-07-2012 08:33 PM

I'm hoping for a full season on DVD or Blu-ray. I'm not big on the half season releases.

CrimsonMonkey 02-07-2012 08:46 PM

Full season on Blu Ray or nothing.

I don't care how they come out (books or seasons) as long as we get a blu-ray release. Still no news on this front?
