May episodes

Saturday, May 5: Ep. 20 “Curse of Ratilla”
The Thundercats infiltrate a mine shaft filled with fellow cats who are being forced to search for the Sword of Plundarr by the evil Ratar-O!

Saturday, May 12: Ep. 21 “Birth of the Blades”
Mumm-Ra seeks to reclaim the sword of Plun-Darr.

Saturday, May 19: Ep. 22 “The Forever Bag”
WilyKit, WilyKat, and Snarf track down a thief in Dog City.

Saturday, May 26: Ep. 23 “Recipe for Disaster”
The Cats discover a magic elixir that can stop Mumm-Ra, but will they be able to gather enough of it in time to defeat him?

26 episodes total right. The last few are going to be tough knowing there is a chance of it being the end of the show.

I can't wait to see the new Ratar-O. One of the few "minor" villain characters from the OS that put Slithe in his place.

AlexofThundera 04-30-2012 09:10 AM

Yes I'm looking forward to seeing Rataro as well.

"Birth of the Blades" sounds cool and "The Forever Bag" sounds like a fun side story episode focusing on the twins again much like "Survival of the Fittest".

I wonder what else could be in Tookits bag?

Dr Kain 04-30-2012 12:18 PM

Hopefully they don't end the season on a cliffhanger because they planned for there to be a second season.

I feel that is how they planned this.

Lion-o only has one stone, unless mummra got the other two.

How can they fit all this in with seven episodes left.

vantheman77 04-30-2012 03:19 PM

It looks like the twins get separated from the other cats to find Tookit.

We get to see the Sword of Plundarr/ Mount Plundarr arc.

23 episodes so far as we have three more left, unless a second season is greenlighted by Cartoon Network.

Ehh, I'm not worried at all. I read that the ratings have doubled since the first half of the show. The Saturday morning switch was the best idea yet. They will finish season 1 strong (cliffhangers I'm sure) and we will see a wave 3 at SDCC. The game drops in August, more figures will be released and before we know it season 2 will be on. All everyone can do is support the show the best they can.

Ratings may have doubled, but CN is only concerned about the toy sales. If the toy sales do not pick up (and since stores have them on clearance and are no longer carrying them, so how can they), the show will be canned.

What is the CN and toys (Bandai) relation? As far as I know it is separate things. CN is used to promote the toys no doubt but CN is only concerned about the ratings at least this is my understanding if I'm wrong please clarify and correct me :)

That was my thought exactly. They are two separate things altogether. Cartoon Network would be more concerned over ratings than toy sales.

Having the sword of Plun-darr would seem to be kinda useless to him, since he doesn't have any of the stones to put in it. :)

the higher the ratings are for a show the more the network can get for the advertisemrnts during that shows timeslot.....
the toymakers pay the studio (WB.) for the right to make the toys....the studio might get some money from the sale of the toys beyond the licening right but the studio probably gets more money form the network for the right to air the show......

nickanu 05-01-2012 04:19 PM

we might see Bengali soon if he's a blacksmithe like in the os.......that brirth of blades might have something to do with him.....
but I'm just surmising though......

He didn't have any stones in the sword in Legacy either, but he was able to use it just fine.

Lody 05-01-2012 06:44 PM

moreprimeland 05-02-2012 07:06 PM

Sounds like a good line up for May...can't wait.

Kutoal 05-02-2012 09:02 PM

This Last monday, we in Latin America start the first season. hopefully we have good hearing.

Sining 05-03-2012 02:15 AM

It may just be me but the titles all sound like filler episodes.

“The Forever Bag” is the only one that I could potentially see as filler. I think this lineup sounds pretty solid.

The Cats discover a magic elixir that can stop Mumm-Ra, but will they be able to gather enough of it in time to defeat him?

....This is actually a story about Pumyra and Cheetara trying to make something special for dinner...until the men get a whiff of it and decided it was bad enough to kill Mumm-Ra so they sent it to his pyramid ;-)
