Yeah-- I'll definitely have to pick version up at the show!

Man...I really was hoping to skip the SDCC exclusive chase wallet stresses this year but I gotta have it. :)

I ordered one from Mezco, but now that I have seen more pics of the variant head, I would have been better off getting the regular version. I'm going to see if they can cancel the order before shipping it Monday.

What I don't like:

- The "mouth open" head just doesn't look right.
- The variant head's eyes do not actually "light up" as I was led to believe. They just glow in the dark.
- The "glowing eyes" do not have irises or pupils. They're just glow in the dark paint.

So, hopefully they can catch it before it goes out, so someone else can get it. It wouldn't have been so bad if they would have included the regular edition's head, which is truly superior.

Before you cancel, you should do a search or watch videos are youtube on the variant, although I can"t justify your right about the eyes, the variant includes the reg head as well.

No, the regular head is not included. That's the problem.

Correct. The sdcc version comes with one head with glow in the dark eyes and the second head is a vicious mouth open pose.

The reguLar version is similar to the glow in the dark eyes version but without the glowing eyes.

I am half tempted to see if you want to trade a regular head for both variant heads.

No that wouldn't be fair. I'd just as soon get a refund from Mezco.

I picked one up at Comic-Con and I really like the open mouth head.

I mainly wanted that version because I already have the Hard Heroes statue which has a closed mouth and the Bandai one does, too. So, I figured it would be nice to display something different from those two.

Did anyone do a review of this guy?

nflxfl21 08-19-2011 03:49 PM

Thats a cool figure but the open mouth makes it look like carrot top i laugh when i see this figure

Monkian 08-20-2011 01:26 AM

Yeah, not feeling the open mouth. It's a shame, but it's just not a nice head sculpt.
