Is there a connection of Thundercats to Avatar?

As in James Cameron's Avatar and not The Airbender.

There are similarities to Thundercats in Cameron's movie especially how Pandora is quite like Third-Earth and the Na'Vi are like the Thundercats and Panthro's race.

Probably not, but that's what fan fiction is for!

any connection is purely accidental, but, I wouldn't mind reading a good fanfic that connects the 2.

Yes, in fact. Exactly one:

They're both fiction.

Sorry, but no. Do not even try to put a good show and a terrible movie in one mixture.

The movie's not bad. It's just that the story is completely unoriginal.

Have you read Avatar's original 80 page screenplay treatment called Project 880? it was very different from what you saw on the big screen and was a more complex film then in 2006 after he finally greenlighted his movie, his producer thought that it would be too complex for audiences and would be a failure, Cameron had no choice to dumb down his original treatment to be a more mainstream and less artisitic film than he did.

I think it's possible that subconciously there may have been some similarities when creating the Avatar concept, but that's about it. Avatar was a gimmick and Thundercats has a legacy!!! :]

Is Avatar Cameron's worst film and no where near Terminator 1 & 2, Aliens and True Lies?

Oh, it is a bad movie. Without the 3D, it is pointless. \

Oh, and no, Titanic is still worse.

Thats where we disagree. I don't like 3D. As far as Titanic, I liked it a lot more than Avatar.

What's so different about the 3D movie fads in the 50's and 80's?

I don't mean to be a jerk but this is at the top of the dumbest threads I have ever read
