That would be awesome!

Deefuzz 02-07-2011 03:17 PM

Oh wow. I didn't even know there was going to be a Thundercats Classics line! Looks real nice!

My excitement just ramped up another notch.

Lion-O 02-07-2011 03:47 PM

Hey! It's me! ^_^

If I were to buy myself, would it be considered prostitution, slavery, or pet adoption?

MegaPrime33 02-07-2011 03:50 PM

I am definitely getting excited now! Can't wait to see how the other classic figures come out.

LionO84 02-07-2011 03:50 PM

I can't wait....I still have all my old TC toys at my parents house.

Reigner 02-07-2011 03:52 PM

Here's hoping we get soem Mutants out of this line. I'm itching for a new Vultureman and Jackalman.

Stoner 02-07-2011 04:04 PM

Pure Awesome!!

Super_Megatron 02-07-2011 04:08 PM

Looks really good, but I want to see what the 6 inch figure looks like so I can have this line in scale with DCUC, MOTUC and Marvel Legends.

Darth_Risar 02-07-2011 04:57 PM

Release Date?

I've been rewatching the old cartoon. 8 inches may actually be proper scale against humans. Lion-O and the others seem to be consistantly a full head taller and more then the warrior maidens and other humans I've seen so far.

The_Eva-Living 02-07-2011 06:46 PM

Oh wow. I just made a statement in another thread where I said I wasn't liking the idea of the classics line being 8 inches tall. If they are going to look this good I don't mind one bit. Wow!!!!!

Sabien 02-07-2011 07:14 PM

Awesome!

Dawg99 02-07-2011 07:20 PM

can't wait to see who's coming next after lion-o and tygra

Panth-ro 02-07-2011 07:21 PM

Wow, Awesomeness.

Hopefully Mumm-ra!!

03Mach1 02-07-2011 07:43 PM

If the rest of this line looks as good as Lion-O. Count me in.

Mumm-Ra better damn well be part of wave 2. I'm actually surprised that he's not part of wave 1.

Laser_Optimus 02-07-2011 08:01 PM

This guy looks great. I'm glad they are doing the Classics line in the 8 inch scale as they will look great next to my MOTUC figures.

Bionic Commando 02-07-2011 08:44 PM

Oh wow when I first heard Bandai was doing the new Thundercats line I was a little disappointed but now that I see an actual pic of Classics Lion-O I'm hooked not bad at all.Looks like I have another line to collect.....Oh boy

Pumm-ra 02-07-2011 08:55 PM

Right now, i'll definitely pick up Mumm-ra and Lion-o to have with my He-mans

The_Eva-Living 02-07-2011 09:00 PM

Let's hope that the line becomes popular and successful.

Agreed!

Pink Panthro 02-07-2011 11:14 PM

i LOVE those thighs...in a non creepy way :)

Ma-Mutt 02-08-2011 12:09 AM

Any chance the eyes light up?

Rudi 02-08-2011 01:24 AM

Looks awesome. Would be great if they released a few mutants in this line :)

Grune the Destroyer 02-08-2011 07:43 AM

This looks fantastic - I was really worried when I heard "Bandai", but this figure looks great. Wonder what the packaging will be like. Can't wait to see Tygra now.

What a great time to be a T-Cats fan.

Snarfer 02-08-2011 08:53 AM

Even though he's missing his eyebrows I can't wait to see the rest. So far the only other character that was mentioned for these 8-inch figures was Tygra, but I hope that they make all of the major characters. Especially if they are going to look this good!

Tygra 02-08-2011 08:56 AM

Me too. I hope they at least get Mumm-Ra and Panthro.

Are these going to be exclusives?

Hammerhand 02-08-2011 11:08 AM

Nice. I can't wait for more pics and to see what Tygra looks like.

RedEyes 02-08-2011 12:29 PM

This is one of the those things where you've waited so long to get a classic line of Thundercats figures and the company understands what is needed to please the "80's" kids like ourselves. Great likeness, great articulation, great paint apps, great sculpt and details, great accessory's. And I'm sure when we see pics, great packaging. And they completely nailed it!! When I heard that Bandai was doing classic figures, I really thought they were gonna drop the ball. But it's far from it. So with that said, I'm collecting the shit out of these! hahah:D

Bravestarr 02-08-2011 07:36 PM

Just cool as hell, man.

Razorclaw 02-08-2011 07:42 PM

That 8" line will rock!!!

The_Eva-Living 02-09-2011 08:13 AM

I can't stop steering at this... It's just so badass!

reddragon162 02-09-2011 07:25 PM

Not too bad actually. Think I'll be picking this one up.

nitewing73 02-10-2011 10:31 AM

This is a must for me. I was thinking of getting the classic figures and keeping it in the package and then buying the newer 4 inch figures and opening those for the toon. That way the kids can play with them too.

BLACK SWAN 02-10-2011 04:25 PM

Looks like I will be picking up the Classics line. Lion-O FTW!!!

Darth_Risar 02-11-2011 02:58 PM

Hopefully, Lion-O will come with a smaller Sword of Omens to fit into the Claw Shield. I actually hope they do a 4" classics line as well

Same here! Usually thigh swivels break the sculpt, for example, the 1st Toy Biz Marvel Legends, and the DCUC figures. Yet what Bandai did...that's innovative to me.

Agreed! My worries were shattered once I saw Classics Lion O.

I suspect they will be released eventually.

Icespark 02-14-2011 02:46 PM

Between Lion-O, and Tygra, the Classics line looks like it will be perfect. Hopefully, the line will be successful enough to ensure the production of all the Thundercats characters. :)

If the other figures in the line look like Tygra and Lion-O, I'll be more than happy to purchase them all! :D

trebleshot 02-15-2011 12:31 PM

Already mentioned this on Toyark, but he looks great and I'm really looking forward to all the new toy merch coming our way for Thundercats. It's been a long time coming with this brand to get the same treatment as their fellow 80's properties.

Pretty sure the Bandai rep at Toy Fair said it would be able to do that. The vid was a bit noisy that I saw, but pretty sure he said that.

Also said the bases were scrapped but the way they had Lion-O and Tygra standing, they seemed to have a great center of balance and won't need that stuff. I don't want them posed standing at attention anyway.

And I think the rep also said 18 points of articulation? And they look this good? Bandai really came dressed to impress at this party.

He does and it does.

In the pics you can see the small blade at his feet. In the video walkthroughs (of which there are many now), the representative mentions this. What's not oft mentioned is that the claw shield works by interchanging with the left hand. The left hand pops out and the claw shield pops on. When not on the hand, it fits on the bit we've seen hanging off his belt and the dagger form of the Sword of Omens fits into the clawl.
