Mumm Ra An Alien

Mumm Ra is definitely an Alien. The new episode confirmed people's Suspicions about him. But Could he be from Plun Darr, He does have the sword of Plun Darr, maybe he's from plun Darr.

LionO84 09-03-2011 12:32 PM

well I wouldn't say confirmed that but it did give us more fuel to add to the fire with this concept.

Autotrooper 09-03-2011 10:28 PM

That could still mean he is/was a human.

That is still possible, and my #1 theory of his origins. #2 would be that he is some kind of alien species, prob one that is long extinct.

Even if he is a human he'd be an Alien.

How do you figure?

The Ever Living 09-04-2011 12:17 AM

He's a bat.

Because he's no longer on his native planet.

Mumm-Ra is two things.

1. Not human. In his "not so ever living" form he looks like decrepit human
anatomically but his eyes and teeth are significantly inhuman. In his ahem
"Tired of all this sh...stuff" form he is like 9 feet tall and gray skinned.
He also has no visible navel nor nipples (yes I know...). Not to mention the
third pair of limbs that make up his wings. These traits tends to seriously
undercut being Human (Earth style) or a mammal for that matter. This all
brings me to the second descriptor Mumm-Ra.

2. Possibly "Undead". His biology is far from normal and he is vulnerable to
bright light and especially Sunlight. He is very Lich like (D&D style) but he
has his sarcophagus instead of a phylactery. Even in his wizened form he
is surprisingly and unnaturally tough. I would imagine his continued bodily
existance is owed to both technology and magic. With the mix leaning
very heavily to the magic side of things. It is very possible his age and
unnatural power have twisted him from stock humanity to the not so
human/mammalian creature he is now (ala: Palpatine).

So in summary Mumm-ra is not so human and very dead-ish. He also is
available in the following options: "small", "large", and "large metallic".
All versions are flavored with evil and ancient.

Balgus82 09-04-2011 03:16 PM

Of course he's undead. He's a mummy. But to be undead you'd have to have been alive at some point in the past.

GrimlocksPS 09-04-2011 06:00 PM

I think Mumm-ra is some kind of superhumanoid. Knows a ton of magic/tech stuff so he can prolong his life.

decepticat 09-04-2011 07:57 PM

Makes sense since hasn't there been suggestions in the past that the Egyptian pyramids and such was thought to be "created by some ancient aliens". MummRa is a type of mummy so I guess it makes sense or at least to me it does

PANTHRO HOOO 09-04-2011 11:30 PM

Everyone on the spaceship is an alien just to clear that up.

moondog 09-05-2011 12:42 AM

Um he's the badguy that's all I need

Apparently Wildstorm says he is a human.......
His new origin should be interesting.

Balgus82 09-06-2011 10:58 AM

I ignore most of what Wildstorm put out. It's not canon. And even if it was that's a completely different continuity.

Ravenxl7 09-06-2011 11:29 AM

I still think Mumm-Ra was probably a human at one point in his life. The ancient spirits of evil bringing his mummified corpse back to life could easily have made several changes to his physique. However the most recent episode has confirmed that him, the cats, and all the other animals are indeed alien to Third Earth.

The Ever Living 09-06-2011 11:08 PM

I like Egyptian culture.....so making a connection to an actual Pharaoh was kinda cool.
Other wise....he has to be some kind of bat.

Monkian 09-07-2011 12:17 AM

I think.... I don't know. Whatever he is, he's uglier than hell. Needs to brush and floss too..

PANTHRO HOOO 09-07-2011 01:00 AM

Ok was just rewatching ep 7 and it came to me. Who would name the planet? Probably the evil ruler who enslaved everyone right? The Indians didn't name America. So why would Mumm-Ra name the planet 3rd Earth? Only because he's from Earth. Imo there was a second Earth also. So Mumm-Ra has probably been around a long long time.

Whoa...that makes sense.

Seemed to me like he just went to that planet to get the stone. I think it probably already had a name.

dolza_khyron 09-09-2011 05:21 PM

they are ALL aliens lol

Devinebull1978 09-09-2011 05:46 PM

This is my theory....

All of the animal hybrid types all come from one ancestral home... EARTH. However, back in the past, humans set out to discover a new earth with ''earth arks'' because they had destoyed 1st earth with pollution or perhaps the resources had run out....

Within these earth arks, animal dna was taken to 2nd earth to propogate and reinvent 1st earth. The human scientists were experimenting and combining the genetics of the animals with that of the human genome on the 2nd earth. A mixed genome is scientifically proven to be more robust than a pure bred genome. Perhaps Mummra was one of the original scientists that was on the search for eternal youth and experimented on himself. With advancements in technology the realms of magic and tech became indistinguishable and combined. Mummra the ever-living thus created his minions and went out to search for 3rd earth...

This will explain why we have ''pure humans'' and ''hybrid human-animal sub groups'' in the vintage cartoon. I have not seen any human characters yet in the new cartoon....we will wait and see....
