Ecchi is is an often used slang term in the Japanese language for erotic fantasy and sexual innuendoes. A lot of the anime that is coming out is like that. High School of the dead is a good example. I didn't care for it. They can write a good story without ecchi.

Not all harems are like that. Clanned is a good one. Good story.

Yaoi, Yuri, ecchi, action, sports, mecha, fantasy, adventrue, magic girl, and Josie. There are more. It seems like every anime has a bath springs episode.

But, you will see the M/F leads interact just like L/C.
