That is why, like I said, it would have been better if the writers had never said anything, then your interpretation would have very little to argue against it.

In my case, I never saw the interviews, so I had no expectations. Maybe that's why this whole love triangle never bothered me the way it seems to others on this forum. I wasn't looking for any signs. Wasn't filling my head with notions of who was going to hook up with who. I was just watching and enjoying the show as each new episode aired, and thus far- every episode has been damn awesome.

As to the current episode- just great all around. I loved every minute of it.
