If you're posting in the fan art, customs or collections forum, you need to actually attach at least one image to the thread using the forum attachment system.

If you've uploaded to a hosting site, just copy the direct image link and paste that into the "Upload File from a URL" section of the attachment window. I've done that on my phone and ipad before.
