If I may ask, how did you remove the original clear dome pieces from the sword? I just received one for my birthday and the condition it came in was atrocious. There is glue smeared all over the inside with finger prints, the thundercats symbols are warped and have holes in them, and one side is even filled with sawdust.

Luckily I haven't had any problems with the led lights crapping out yet so I want to try to remove the domes without breaking them. Then I want to strip the domes, cover the outside with red transparent adhesive vinyl sheeting. (Like you would use on a car tail light.) Then I want to get a thundercats logo for one side and do the eye strip on the other.
