Sure, but it was a no-win situation and Cheetara had two main options:

Option A: Surrender and promptly be executed along with Lion-O and Tygra.

Option B: Take her own advice and “stick together” by helping Lion-O continue the fight. At least this option would have allowed the slightest chance for them to survive the battle.

One would expect a Cleric who is sworn to protect the King, who has trained most of her life for battle would pick the second option.
