That's because the guys behind the minimates are actually excited about the line as opposed to Bandai.

In hindsight WB should have licensed Bandai for the new figures, and someone else to do the classics line. My only hope for new classic 6" figures is WB handing the license over to someone else. Hopefully it's not one of those contract deals where Bandai gets to sit on the license until 2014 or something.
