I think CN expected more with them being sloted Friday (prime time) and Saturday. Those numbers look average to me and you have to figure the toys too.

Of the people I know, I am the only one that watches the NS.

Unless your anime has a great story (thinking outside the box) or the popular genres, your show will not do well in Japan.

Lot of popular animes are popular mangas first.
