Nice! Where did you order from? How were you able to get them this early?

They came direct from the factory in Hong Kong. I dont like the new cartoon line but the classics are done respectfully

I totally agree with you on that one. I'm only after the classics myself. How were you able to get them direct from the factory in Hong Kong?

If you want to take some detailed images, I'd love to post them on the front page. Good stuff.

That's awesome. I honestly wasn't expecting the modern figures to have paint that shiny. Definitely a detail that benefits them. Articulation looks pretty good too (I'm assuming this is the 6" version of him).
While there is something about Tygra's head that's a bit.... off-putting to me, he looks great. More pictures of him would definitely be appreciated, and if you get the chance, a review of sorts would be great. |

Yep they're the 6inch Lion o's and its the 8inch Tygra classic. The classic 8inch Lion o should be here this week so i'll take a load of closer pics. Im unsure on these forum how to put better pics up. I tried 'insert image' from photobucket but didnt work.

To insert images, you need to copy the direct link to the photo and then use the image tags.
When replying click this icon "" and paste the direct link in the pop-up (will look something like this: websitename.domain / picture.jpg) |

sorry best i could do. Maybe someone else can post the photos visually, not working on my computer. Having many points of articulation is great for posing but not the best for making him stand up straight! Notice the foot says Warner Bros Entertainment and Wolf. Of course, not a problem. I will post pics of the Classic Lion O when he arrives. Will be good to compare with the Toys R Us special release.

How come the screws on the figure are not concealed?

LiarDice Films, I am wondering if the package comes with the screw caps. The exposure of the black screws really spoil the appearance of the figure.

Nope, thats the whole contents of the packaing you see in the other pics. Im agreeing with Ravenxl7, that its probably a cheaper way of manufacture. Almost like the we've gone back to the South American Glasslite 1980's figs!
Has anyone got any opened Bandai Power Rangers? Maybe they are constructed with the screws open like that too. Glad i could share. The plastic is almost of a rubber softness in places too. The most annoying thing is the multiful points of articulation |

Looks great, I think the line will do well. It's funny now being much older and going into a toy store to see basically the same toy lines I collected when I was younger. For sure some excitement in this line will last for a while I hope.

It's got a very old school scupt to it. I was hoping for a more modern feel.

The color of his fur is really dark. I suppose it's better than neon orange, like on the original toy, but it doesn't match up with the animation.

Im afraid its not the brick work background. he doesnt actually have that flesh tone colour. I can take another with a pure white background and post it. He is my fave out of the whole line. From that time i saw him at the London Toy fair.Heavy and well made too. Although his sword is again very rubbery plastic and bends easily

Thanks for the additional pictures. I'm hoping that the color difference int he plastics will be less noticeable in-person. If not, oh well, I'll still get him.
"Heavy and well made" sounds really good, and I can deal with the sword being bendy/rubbery plastic. |

Wow!! Bandai clearly was the wrong company for the TC line. The production pieces are pieces of crap. Extremely underwhelmed not to mention very disappointed :S

Still, things could be worse, much much worse. Just be glad Mattel isn't making them. Last edited by Ravenxl7; 07-12-2011 at 05:48 PM.. |

The Classic Lion O IS really nice, i was impressed. Especially with the elements of detail in the swords and claw. And its what i would have hoped for in a modern day interpretation of the old line. The New cartoon figures arent the best but as Raven said it could have been much worse. We could have Lion O with a generic He-man torso! You can never replicate LJN and so why try, instead leave classic elements with a modern twist
