The wait for more information on TFC Toys not-Constructicons is over! After much speculation, TFC Toys have released an image of their take on Constructicon Scrapper! This unofficial custom product is a part of Project Deva, the custom Devastator. It's only a CGI render right now, but hopefully we'll see some pictures of the actual model of him soon, as well as a shot of him as a leg attached to the rest of the TFC Toys Constructicons.

Some of the artists who will be attending include: Marcelo Matere, Dan Khanna, Josh Perez, Casey Coller, Thomas Deer, Robby Musso, David "It's Walky!" Willis, and 2005's very own Silas "Shibamura Prime" Zee! The announcement also mentions this is the first batch of artist guests attending, plus with voice actor guests still to be announced this year's Botcon is going to have no shortage of talented people involved in the franchise for you to meet.

Some new images have been released by TFC Toys of their upcoming products. As we were hoping after the Scrapper render yesterday, we've got a shot of a pair of Scrapper resin prototypes attached to the rest of the TFC Toys Constructicons, giving us our first view of what the combined not-Devastator will look like.
There are a couple more images of other products. One is for the DSLR set - Disguised Scout Linkable Robots - aka Not-Reflector. The TFC Toys unofficial custom take on Reflector is based on a real DSLR digital camera. Some new camera mode pictures here for you. Last but by no means least is a new image of the TFC Toys planes and tanks. These images show that they are indeed intended to power up the Power Core Combiners, with some added parts Scramble City combiner style, to give the combined robots real arms and legs with hands and fully articulated arms. They are shown here combined with Bombshock. Read on to check out our mirror of all the images. |

A pair of new Transformers Dark of the Moon posters have been shown off on Allposters.ca. The first shows the official render of the revised Dark of the Moon Bumblebee. The second shows Optimus Prime and Bumblebee together, with Sentinel Prime's face shown amid the stars in the background. Looks pretty cool! Check out both posters by clicking on the title of this story for our mirror.

With still two weeks to go before the official street date for the Dark of the Moon toyline, we've got another Dark of the Moon reported purchase once again from Target. Today's lucky buyer is 2005 Boards member jetfire prime, who went to Target to try to bag a Voyager Class Megatron early - and instead walked out with Shockwave, the Voyager Class new villain and overall big bad of Dark of the Moon. This confirms that not only are the first wave Voyagers going to be there when the street date arrives, but the second wave guys like Shockwave and Skyhammer may very well either be on shelves or be lurking in the stockroom.
Stay tuned for more early release reports! |

Word reaches us from UK fansite Full Metal Hero that a Dark of the Moon Leadfoot toy - literally "Red Daytona Car" in solicitations - is being shopped around as an exclusive item by "a well known UK wholesaler". According to Full Metal Hero, "the order quantity must be 5000 for the exclusivity and it may possibly be stocked by a high street chain well known for serving the UK with sci fi products, it is however currently open to whichever company decides to bite first."
Pretty vague. However, this implies that as some have speculated due to his Target sponsor details, the Impala Wrecker Leadfoot will be a store exclusive toy, potentially a Target exclusive. This information relates to the UK, but typically store exclusives in the UK are also store exclusives in other markets. So could Dark of the Moon Leadfoot be a store exclusive in the US as well? To clarify - this relates to a possible mainline Leadfoot toy. The Cyberverse (Legends) Leadfoot will be a mass release. Keep it TFW2005 for more updates to this rumor and all things Transformers Dark of the Moon! |

Nelson Lauren left few comments regarding upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon after a discussion with Michael Bay.
The 3D Trailer is now ready to go live with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 3D, which will release on May 20th, 2011. “Bay has just finished the 3D trailer which will be featured on 'Pirates.' It's basically the same trailer with a couple new shots.” And it seems as though the 3D trailer will be similar to the Trailer we saw couple of days ago but with extra few shots (most probably to show off 3D goodness). The Theatrical Trailer we saw will be the last big Transformers 3 trailer we will see. The upcoming trailers (apart from the 3D version of the same trailer) are all TV Spots. Nelson also shared how Michael Bay shot the “Bumblebee running up the wall scene” we saw on the trailer. You can read about it at S4TE. You can also download the Hi-Resolution version of the Yahoo Movies! Poster we got recently, at Michael Bay Official Website as well (please right click and use “Save as”/”Save Link As…” or similar depending on your browser). |

We're proud to bring you the latest addition to our ever-growing Transformers Resources section today. With the launch of Hasbro's new Kre-O Transformers blocks on the horizon, we thought now would be a good time to revisit Kre-O's predecessor, Built to Rule! Our Transformers Built to Rule section is now online! This short lived series ran alongside Transformers Armada in 2003 and produced several Armada characters as building block kits. A follow-up for Transformers Energon was planned but only released to a limited test market. Check out our new Built to Rule Resources section and learn more about this forerunner to the new Kre-O line.
And once you're done checking out the Built to Rule section, also be sure to check out some of the other Transformers Block sets made in Japan over the years - as well as our Transformers Kre-O section for all the known sets and information currently available. |

2005 Boards member Tekmen today attended a model club convention held in Canton China today. TFC Toys had a booth at the convention, showing off the next batch of their unofficial custom items that will be offered up for release. If you've been following news, you know what this means. More pictures of their not-Devastator, now officially named, Hercules! There's also a new image of the combined mode using two Scavengers and two Scrappers, which gives a decent idea of the overall style and size of this thing.
On show were three of the four previously seen members of the Constructicons team that make up Hercules - Scavenger's expy was not on show for some reason. Hook in this set goes by the moniker Dr Crank, which is an awesomely out-there choice for a name. Scrapper is known as Structor, and Longhaul, who forever does the heavy lifting for the group, is known as Heavylabor. Also on show were color prototypes of the DSLR Reflector styled team, in a distinctly non-Reflector deco. They are instead in black and silver, evidently TFC Toys opted for a realistic camera deco rather than a show accurate robot and a purple camera. Check out the pictures and see if you think it works. The Power Core Combiner "WWII" series drones were also on show in all of their modes, and shown combined with Heavytread who many (myself included) speculated would be a good match for the set. Lastly there's some new images of the next three Junkion Blacksmith Headmaster prototypes - Megatron, Ultra Magnus and Blaster, though not much is shown beyond their robot modes and Blaster's boombox mode - and a selection of Targetroid recolors, including Ultra Magnus, Nemesis Prime, Skywarp and Thundercracker. A black version of Primars who seems to be inspired by Motormaster was also on show. All these custom, not-endorsed-by-Hasbro-in-any-way items are prototypes, so might change a bit before release. Read on to check out all of the images that Tekmen has shared with us. |

Some news has come to us by way of Snakas relating to the Toys R Us exclusive Dark of the Moon Scan Series. A pair of new auctions have popped up on Taobao, one for Scan Series Ironhide and one for Scan Series Sideswipe. These toys, which represent the characters in the middle of scanning their alternate modes, are a visual treat with their decos and partially clear plastic elements. As stated they'll be exclusively available at Toys R Us sometime this summer.

We've received information from our friend and sponsor Red leader of Kapow Toys that the most recent Masterpiece series Transformer - MP-9 Rodimus Convoy - will be getting a second run in September to coincide with the release of MP-10 Convoy New Edition. 2005 Boards member DrillBIT reports that there may be some basic quality fixes on the new run edition:
New parts are made to replace the weak spots, especially with the legs (panels and feet). Overall quality is the same. Don't expect it to be dramatically different, but there might be some small improvements to help with the worst affected parts. Even more good stuff from Hasbro! This batch of images rounds out the new stuff for the MechTech mainline. Here we have an in-package image of Dark of the Moon Ironhide - our first official image of the big guy! We've also got a quintet of new Ultimate Optimus Prime images, showing him without his armor, showing the wings in a couple of different positions, and also showcasing the big guy's massive cannon! Last but by no means least, we've got an official in package image of Human Alliance Autobot Whirl with Major Sparkplug.

Next up in our collection of new images from Hasbro is another Human Alliance two pack. This time out, we've got a redeco of Human Alliance Sideswipe - whose robot mode seems mistransformed in the images - and a black version of Human Alliance Icepick with Captain Chaos. In this two pack, Icepick homages the K Mart exclusive version of Snowcat from Transformers Energon (we can't think of many other black and orange snowmobiles anyway) and Captain Chaos is actually remolded to be shown without the helmet of the single pack release. Read on and check out the images.

Another group of official images we received from Hasbro was this previously unknown two-pack. This set consists of that silver version of Bumblebee we had seen a few weeks back, along with a redeco of Human Alliance Basic Backfire and a redecoed Human Alliance Sam Witwicky done up to make it look like he is wearing body armor. This set even advertises the cross-compatibility feature of the new Human Alliance Basics who can turn into weapons to be wielded by the larger Transformers - it's demonstrated here on Bumblebee, who looks just a touch too small for the gigantic cannon. This set also comes with an Autobot Alliance patch, which is the same symbol seen on Bumblebee's doors.

Hasbro have relaunched Transformers.com in grand style for Dark of the Moon. The site is now reworked in silvers and blues, with a starscape background which is a refreshing change from the previous deco.
Of note on the new look Transformers.com: The official Vector Sigma Database - This database covers every character to appear in the Movie universe, including characters from the previous two films. It's very impressive and features pretty much the entire cast of the movie universe. A major revelation awaits on Soundwave's page - he is confirmed to be the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG! No more hanging around in orbit for him! Other notables are Hatchet, who is confirmed to be one of the Dreads, though he and Crowbar are represented by toy images. A new character on the Autobot side is also revealed, named Steeljaw. Again though he appears to be represented by a toy image. Make of that what you will. One very nice addition in there - Leadfoot's page confirms he is getting a Human Alliance class toy! The Vector Sigma Database also contains a full glossary and timeline of the movie universe. The timeline only goes as far as Revenge of the Fallen, though. All in all, it is a great primer for the Movie universe. The update also comes with new toys! Lots and lots of new toys are on the site. Here's a few of the most notable new additions, all complete with official images and bios: Cyberverse Crowbar Cyberverse Leadfoot Cyberverse Bolt Bumblebee Cyberverse Powerglide Cyberverse Blackout MechTech Voyager Shockwave MechTech Voyager Skyhammer Stealth Force Mini Changers Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime Stealth Force Mini Changers Optimus Prime VS Starscream Stealth Force Mini Changers Sideswipe VS Starscream Stealth Force Mini Changers Sideswipe and Sentinel Prime Stealth Force Mini Changers Crumplezone VS Bumblebee Robo Power Activators Optimus Prime Robo Power Activators Bumblebee Robo Power Activators Starscream Robo Power Revvin Robots Optimus Prime Robo Power Revvin Robots Bumblebee Robo Power Go-Bots Bumblebee Robo Power Go-Bots Sideswipe There's loads more toys on show, though. Talk about them all here. All this, and Hasbro's also uploaded instructions for many of these toys. Wow! |

After the runaway success of Transformers: War For Cybertron, High Moon Studio was assigned with the task of developing the game for the 3rd and final (announced as of yet) Michael Bay Transformers Live Action Movie. New articles by Metro, Gamespot, and Virgin Media now joins the previous article by eGamer. Mind you, few character names from the upcoming movie are revealed including Mirage and his abilities. Here’s a spoiler warning for you… and off you go to read... Our Transformers Toy Galleries have been updated! 2005 Boards photo staff member SydneyY has uploaded a new gallery for our Transformers Animated Toy Galleries - this time, we've got a gallery of Animated Elite Guard Optimus Prime for you. This piece was a Million Publishing mail-in exclusive, available by sending in a coupon found in the Japanese Transformers Animated Encyclopaedia book. The toy represents a what-if situation where Optimus Prime had stayed on and joined the Elite Guard instead of taking command of that fateful Spacebridge repair crew - and looks very sharp in red and black.

Hasbro's new update to Transformers.com included a series of animations showing the various new Dark of the Moon toys transforming in detail, including their MechTech weapons. Among those shown are our first official look at MechTech Voyager Sentinel Prime, complete with his MechTech fireladder cannon weapon. Others shown include Deluxe Bumblebee, Voyager Ironhide, Voyager Optimus Prime, Deluxe Roadbuster, Starscream, Ratchet and Megatron. All of them have great views of the robot modes and the alternate modes, plus nicely detailed step by step views of the transformations. All of this was captured by 2005 Boards LimeWire - and you can see it all by reading on!

2005 Boards members Fabexmax and Clonemanager have got their hands on the new Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Commander Powerglide. This toy is a part of the second wave assortment with Blackout, and in the style of Revenge of the Fallen Breakdown renders the classic Generation 1 character in movie style. Does he stack up against the original, and more importantly, is he a good toy? Check out their reviews and pictures by hitting the discuss link and reading on!
