A new Takara-Tomy Transformers Dark of the Moon Toy List showed-up at Full Metal Hero.
On the list there is a figure called Ultimate Ironhide listed as Leader Class. This could very well be the Hasbro Leader Class Ironhide’s Japanese release. Still, who knows? There is also a Deluxe Class F1 Car as well. Note that, Jetwing Optimus Prime is listed as Japan Exclusive and will release in July (and you’ll see Voyager Class Sentinel Prime somewhere in August). We also have a mysterious new figure called DD-09 DECEPTICON A - DELUXE CLASS releasing in August too. Take a look at the complete list, after the jump. |

Board member alexcollier has just recieved a Leader Mech-Tech Ironhide from the upcoming Dark of the Moon toyline. Although it's speaker is currently inoperable and he cannot share any speech snippets, he did have some additional images to add and also some special features found:
The "special features present include- -Hidden, pop-out guns on the forearms. -Lower legs open up at the side which pops out a firing cannon on the left and a hunting style knife on the left. -The face -plate can be raised or lowered by way of a lever on the back of the head. Unfortunately mine does not allow it to stay down. Pops right back up. AND -The entire abdomen opens up to reveal a spinning min-gun which spins by way of a lever. It is pretty damn cool. Articulation is very good. The arms are very well articulated but the knees only bend 90 degrees. Click above to see all images. |

2005 Boards member Megatroptimus has shared with us the bio of Dark of the Moon Shockwave. The Decepticon cyclops and lead villain of Transformers Dark of the Moon has a suitably awesome and evil bio to accompany his new toy:
Few have ever seen Shockwave and lived. This is the hand that ensures Decepticon plans remain secret from the Autobots. He eliminates evidence and witnesses with brutal, emotionless efficiency. The only hints he ever leaves of his presence are smoking craters and the collapsed tunnels through which he travels. Awesome Dark of the Moon Shockwave image attached to this article taken by 2005 Boards member Lushkwok. New Jersey Collectors Con was this past weekend in Cherry Hill New Jersey. Fans came out to buy, sell, hang out, dress up and have a good time. One special treat for those that attended was an appearance by Transformers Movie Barricade. This wasn't any old Replica though, this was the actual car from the movie. Given/sold to a car museum after the first movie was done, they then auctioned it off, and a collector purchased in the D.C. area. He was kind enough to come up to South Jersey and let the fans get up close an personal. He was met with Autobot resistance though...
Check out some pics of Barricade vs. the Bumblebees by reading the full story. Check reaction of the show by reading the discussion thread here. If you attended and have any pics, make sure to post them in the thread too! |

"And the next thing I know, I've got horns growing out of my shoulders, and I've got one blind eye, and I've got a white dog and a snake on a throne made of antlers. I think you'd have to ask Joe what that all means."
That’s what Mr. Shinoda had to say about their upcoming music video featuring the single for Transformers: Dark of the Moon; Iridescent. If this writer may comment on this… One eyed king, a throne and a snake? If you’ve been following the spoilers of Transformers 3 popping-up right here at TFW2005, it's not hard to imagine where this is going. Oh, don’t say you don’t know who Don Jeanes is! Watched the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Announcement Trailer? Yep, that's him alright… Neil Armstrong from Transformers 3.
Recently Don Jeanes had a chat with Skewed 'n Reviewed regarding DOTM. "I play Neil Armstrong in Transformers: Dark of the Moon and it was an amazing experience. Actually, I never got a script — I was given sides to audition with, but they were just a vague outline of the actual script. Director Michael Bay did not tell me this, but apparently he’s had many attempts to hack his computer and steal the script so he is, justifiably, very guarded with regards to the script. Cory Tucker, who plays Buzz Aldrin, in the film, and I were shown a page of script while Michael held it in his hands on set. I can say that when my agent called me to tell me I booked the role, I was here in my apartment and fell down yelling for joy on the floor!" Read what else he has to say at Skewed 'n Reviewed. |

If you like 3rd party items and you want more likeness of G1 Megatron in your life then you may find some interest in this upcoming offering from MasterShooter Collectibles. Here we have a collection of test shot images of the upcoming Mega-Gun miniature figure which would appear to be a small Megatron inspired Targetmaster type of toy. The images show off the item in both it's robot mode and alt mode as well as how it works with a couple of Transformers.
According to TFW2005's Sidecutter in our discussion thread, this item will be exclusive to Captured Prey and will sell for $18 with pre-orders available now. A second figure named Brown King (which appears to be a Mega-Gun repaint) is also available for pre-order for $18, or you can order both items for $35. Production run for each is limited to 500 pieces. |

Alberta Film Ratings, which provided us with useful Transformers Trailer data in the past, is listing a new trailer named “Transformers 3 : Dark Of The Moon(trailer #2)”.
Taking into account the recent comments made by Director Michael Bay and Nelson Lauren, this could very well be the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer due out this April 28. The trailer is rated “PG” and has a running-time of 2:24. You are able to enjoy the trailer with Fast Five or via Apple Trailer. And yes, the trailer will be here at TFW2005 the moment it hits the Internet. |

Steve Blum; voice of Transformers: Prime Decepticon "Lord" Starscream had a chat with the same people who interviewed Don Jeanes.
Skewed 'n Reviewed asked Steve regarding his work with Transformers: Prime… "...Starscream has always been one of my favorite characters – especially as played in recent years by the great Charlie Adler and also the great Tom Kenny! In fact, after hearing Charlie’s recent performances in the films, I felt I had to get his blessing before I could even accept the role! By the way, what a gentleman – love that guy! Tom’s a hell of an act to follow too – jeez! It’s very hard for me to take over a character that has been so masterfully portrayed – especially when my friends are the previous portrayers! I didn’t try to consciously copy anything that had been done before me, I simply did what came naturally and apparently (thankfully) they liked it!" Steve Blum also mentioned an upcoming Transformers Video Game. Whether this is the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Prequel Game, the MMO Game based on Transformers: Prime Universe or something else is unsure at the moment. "...If you’re speaking of the newest Transformers game – WAY too early to talk about it, methinks. Lasers trained on my temples. In the past, I’ve played a lot of bots – good and bad, including Barricade and Breakdown. Vocally stressful, but any time I get to live in the Transformers universe, I’m grateful." Here is a new oddity for those of you who like the non-toy Transformers merchandise - Transformers Dark of the Moon Dog Tags. Just like the ones released for Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon's release will be accompanied by dog tags. Each pack also contains temporary tattoos and decals. They are blind packed, though, so no guarantee you'll get tags of your favourite character. Click on the link above to see the listing on Big Bad Toy Store.

There has been much buzz over this year's announcement of Shout Factory's upcoming release of the Japanese Transformers Headmasters series. One thing fans have been hoping for is that this would mean subsequent releases of Masterforce and Victory, and thanks to a post by Shout's own Brian Ward on the Shout Factory forums, we now have more light shed on that topic.
I can say that you should expect follow-ups of at least Super-God Masterforce and Victory. I can't really make any promises, regarding Scramble City or Zone at this time. That being said, Headmasters will certainly be used as a rough gauge of the series' popularity. After all, it is the only one of the three that is a direct continuation from S3, so we wouldn't necessarily expect the same response to the subsequent series. Followed later by (in response to if there would be a release set of all three series): Unfortunately, I can't reveal the release strategy, until that information is cleared by PR and Hasbro. But I will say that I'm currently working on all three sets, in hopes that the sales of Headmasters will prove the others are worthy releases. So what does this all mean? The sales of Headmasters will be used as a gauge to see whether other releases will be possible. While it sounds like we can somewhat count on seeing Masterforce and Victory, if fans want to see a release of Scramble City or Zone then it is up to them to support Shout and these upcoming releases. Who knows what could follow after that? Beast Wars II? Beast Wars Neo? R.I.D.? |

eGamer has posted some new Transformers: Dark of the Moon Prequel Video Game images for us to enjoy.
These images feature a good look at the video game version of Movie Soundwave. “Soon into my first hands-on experience was I thrown into combat situations with Sideswipe and the great Optimus Prime as my backup. The map layouts are very similar to what most of you will be familiar with in regular First-Person-Shooter games with lots of tight spaces, blind corners and open courtyards with minimal cover. Multiple bogeys were spawned in continuously from all sides, and the battles, I must say, were very well balanced and would prove a good challenge for even the best sharpshooters. The Decepticon enemies are were recognisable by their models and colour schemes as to avoid confusion with your teammates. Furthermore, they were pretty good as far as single-player AI goes.” Read more at eGamer and enjoy the mirrored images, after the jump. |

TFW2005 Boards Member Sidecutter is sharing with us the images he received for Transformers: Dark of the Moon Japanese (Takara-Tomy) figures.
According to Sidecutter, most of the images are replaced with placeholder images thus making it hard for us to get our first look at Voyager Class Sentinel Prime and Cyberverse figures #18 to #23. But, these new images prove that Takara-Tomy Ultimate Ironhide is indeed same as the Hasbro Leader Class Ironhide as speculated by our members when the info first showed-up. There is a better look at the upcoming Jetwing Optimus Prime as well (the regular version, not the black exclusive version). |

Description Lead the Autobots to final victory with the Transformers Dark of the Moon Ultimate Optimus Prime action figure. The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime is ready to battle the Decepticons for the last time with this transforming action figure. Take to the roads in Trailer Mode, with Optimus Prime in his disguise as a Peterbilt 379 lorry truck and trailer. When danger strikes the Autobots, Optimus can detach from the trailer and transform into Robot Mode, to take on the situation head-on. And if the threat becomes greater still, the trailer transforms and combines with Optimus Prime to engage Power-Up Mode, equipping him with extra armour and a set of wings. Hidden inside the trailer is a blaster weapon, which Optimus can fire in Power-Up Mode, and features lights and sound effects. The Ultimate Optimus Prime figure requires 2 AA batteries, which are included. Transformers fans aged 5 and up will have great fun battling the Decepticons with this awesome action figure. Features

Amazon.co.jp have updated their listing for the Transformers Generations 2011 book with an image of the book's cover. The cover features a trifecta of Autobots from this summer's Dark of the Moon - Movie main line Sentinel Prime and Leader Class Bumblebee are present, as is the Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime. Seeing him alongside the mainline toys allows us to really see how amazingly detailed and accurate he is compared to the already outstanding movie line toys.

Toys R Us Japan have updated their preorder pages for the Dark of the Moon Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime and Bumblebee with new full color photos. The images of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee show off the range of poseability, and in Optimus Prime's case also shows off the optional parts and the different variations on how they can be attached (the swords for example can replace the hands, or be positioned alongside them).
These listings also reveal that Dual Model Kit Optimus Prime will come with a special bonus part through Toys R Us Japan - his hook arm attachment, seen in Revenge of the Fallen. Check out the new imagery by clicking on the links above. |

BTS Toys have updated their homepage with new images of their custom Soundwave Minicassette player, Sonicron. The new images showcase the two different heads that the final product will have - a Generation 1 Soundwave inspired head, and a updated one which has a more modern feel to it. The new images also show off that this Soundwave custom figure will have a fold out sonic emitter type device built into one of his legs.
Check out the new images by clicking on the link above. Like what you see? It is available for preorder on Big Bad Toy Store with an expected release of June 2011, priced $59.99. |

News has reached us of an upcoming Dark of the Moon Prize Campaign / Lucky Draw Campaign. Details are sketchy right now on just how one goes about getting their hands on these guys. There's two pages on Takara-Tomy's webspace suggesting two different campaigns - the first is located here and seems to have a campaign date of May 2011 to July 2011. There are four main prizes listed plus one extra - we'll get to him in a minute. The "A" prize is a fully gold chromed Deluxe Bumblebee from the Dark of the Moon line. B is both the previous movies on DVD, C is a gold chrome version of the Japan-only Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime gun / sword weapon. The D prize is a Transformers themed calendar. The last item on the page is a unlettered item suggesting it's either somehow unconnected from the campaign or is a mail in with enough non-winning tickets - that's an all gold chrome version of Japan's Dark of the Moon Voyager Optimus Prime with his trailer.
There is also a MechTech Weapon campaign, which is giving away various chromed MechTech weapons. Again, no word on how you get these but the smart money is on spending a certain amount of money on Dark of the Moon (Darkside Moon in Japan). We'll update you with more information on these items when it becomes available. |

We are only 3 weeks away from Transformers: Dark of the Moon Merchandise Release Date.
Back in October, 2010 we received our first confirmation of exactly when we will see Transformers 3 Toys hitting shelves near you. And then, thanks to TFW2005 Member big hank who found an advertisement pinpointing the exact date of the release. By this time we have already learned the Size Classes of DOTM Figures. When the first Dark of the Moon toy was leaked back in December, Transformers: Hunt For The Decepticons campaign is ending and "Transformers: Cyber Missions" is over. Reveal The Shield is just beginning and Power Core Combiners are everywhere (sort of). More leaked toy images surfaced everywhere. People were commenting, blaming, fighting, supporting and everything. And then came the official reveal by Hasbro and everyone was free to share. And now, Hasbro is preparing their Official Transformers Toy Shop for the upcoming big day - May 16th, 2011. Hasbro Toy Shop is updated with a banner featuring links to “Human Alliance Figures”, “MechTech Figures”, “Robot Masks” and “Robo Fighters”. The links are not working at the moment, but that’s because they are currently in the updating process. How do you feel about this upcoming day? Do let us know, share your views, discuss and have fun at our Transformers Toy Discussions! |

Our friends and sponsors TFSource have shared a new image of the custom World's Smallest Transformers Astrotrain. This image shows a CGI render of what the final version of the toy will be like - as the render shows, it is very faithful to the original toy like all of JustiToys custom smallest Transformers, although some improvements to the design have been made particularly in the arms.
Don't forget TFSource will be carrying an exclusive black & white version of the JustiToys Military Transport, based on Astrotrain's original look when he was released in Japan in 1985. |

As speculated from the earliest promotional images to emerge, Takara-Tomy's awesome Jetwings Optimus Prime - only planned for a release in Japan - will use the Revenge of the Fallen Leader Optimus Prime as its base figure. But here is what you might not have heard - information is reaching many retailers from their wholesalers that Jetwings Optimus Prime will be using a variation on the Buster Optimus Prime tooling, rather than the regular Leader Optimus Prime. Buster Optimus Prime was notable for taking the already near Masterpiece quality of the Leader class toy and adding a much higher end paint job, chromed finish on some of the parts and redesigning the gas tanks to transform into Optimus Prime's gun from the films. Now factor in the fact that Jetwings Optimus Prime adds to that twin gatling cannons and a flight pack, and you've got an awesome new combination.
There's no official pictures yet, though, so the specifics of the deco have not been confirmed. This may, however, be the supreme incarnation of the Movie series Optimus Prime toy! |

We have begun to receive reports from members of our 2005 Boards that the Fansproject Blesser figure has begun to arrive. Blesser is a limited run recolor of the Fansproject Sidearm figure given away to those who donated to the International Red Cross to aid Japan. Not only is Blesser a very cool little figure, but he represents the best of our community, who have come together to help Japan in their hour of need.

2005 Boards member Masabon has once again shared with us some scans from the latest issue of Figure King. Figure King 159 has six pages of Transformers goodness, all Dark of the Moon / movie series related. The first wave of toys for Japan are showcased, so we get some nice new images of Optimus Prime with Trailer, Leader Bumblebee, Deluxe Bumblebee, Sentinel Prime, Autobot Ratchet, Ironhide, Autobot Skids, Sideswipe, Autobot Topspin, Roadbuster, Air Raid, Arcee (those two are non-movie characters), Megatron, Starscream, Barricade and Crankcase. There's also a page on the Dual Model Kits, Stealth Force and Robo Fighters toys.
These scans showcase the various gimmicks of the MechTech weapons, and there is also a nice look at the way the MechTech weapons interact. Of note is an official image of Leader Bumblebee transformed into a representation of his Stealth Force design, plus a demonstration of how Optimus Prime's trailer can hold the Autobot cars, or serve as an armory for the MechTech weapons. Last but not least there is a brief callout talking about Million Publishing's exclusive United Stepper, but no new information is offered beyond what we already knew. |
