Quite a lot of new Transformers: Dark of the Moon stuff popped up everywhere and there are few things from the Toys “R” Us, Hong Kong Update that needs some individual attention.
First up… See the thumbnail image of this news post. Yep, it’s a clear version of the recently seen Megatron render from Hasbro. Richard Prime of S4TE Forums found the image for us. Click it to take a better look. Speaking of Megatron render… notice the Characters Section of Toys “R” Us website? It’s another clear pic of another recently seen render of Megatron by Hasbro. Our site admin Tony Bacala is also sharing with us a bunch of images he got. Toys “R” Us is also having a bit of (well actually “a LOT of) Moonlight Mania! DOTM Toy Release Date activities. You can check ‘em out here. Ultraq of TFW2005 is bringing us the news of TRU Exclusives which includes “Trans-Scan Starscream” (part of an Exclusive Cyberverse 4-Pack). Meanwhile xion14 is telling us about Transformers 3 Thundercracker (repaint of Starcream) and Mudflap. From Taobao Auctions. You can read the Bios, after the jump. Stay Tuned… More Transformers: Dark of the Moon News… heading your way! |

Optimus Prime took some time away from hunting down Decepticons for a visit to the Maxim’s Hot 100 Party (Not even he can resist an invitation to see the world’s hottest celebrity girls).
Mr. Michael Bay; the director of Transformers Live Action Movie Series was there to escort lovely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who is now crowned as the Hottest Girl… In-The-World! Carly looked stunning in her £465 dress by Max Mara (according to Daily Mail). Nelson Lauren; admin of Michael Bay Official Website is sharing with us some exclusive images from the event. You can visit the website to take a look at the photos. P.S: Nope, they haven’t shown any footage of TF3 at the party though. |

One of the highlights of having a great group of voice actors attend any convention is when there is a script reading - a chance for fans and voice actors to have a laugh and perform together in specially written fan episodes. A highlight of Auto Assembly 2009 and 2010 were their script readings, which were penned by Simon Furman. Uploaded here to Youtube for your enjoyment, presented by Dinotron and featuring the talents of Gregg Berger, Ian James Corlett, Nick Roche, and the one and only Simon Williams is the Auto Assembly 2009 script reading! Stay tuned for the Auto Assembly 2010 script reading, coming to Youtube in the next few days.

A dedicated website for Transformers: Dark of the Moon Score and Soundtrack is now online. Only Linkin Park’s Iridescent is available to listen, but judging by the Next and Back buttons, there may be a good chance to listen to the rest of the album samples in the future.
Linkin Park’s Iridescent single will be out, this May 17th and we might get to see the Official Music Video. The Score is composed by Steve Jablonsky with the help of Hans Zimmer, both of the being giants in their respective field. You are also given the opportunity to buy straight from Warner Records as well. |

One of the most promising sublines, in the Transformers 3 Dark Of The Moon line is Cyberverse. What these toys lack in size, they make up for in playability. By launch day(May 16th), a wide variety of Cyberverse figures will be available at retail, one of them being Blackout with Scorponok.
Some stores have put the new movie toys on shelves, and wave 2, which includes Blackout and Powerglide has already been sighted. I have reviewed Blackout, but is he a worthy figure of the devastating Decepticon? Read on to see how this new figure turned out! |

2005 Boards member Cth has shared with us a nice selection of images from the two new Dark of the Moon children's books, The Lost Autobot and Optimus Prime's Friends and Foes. Friends and Foes in particular features more information on the new heretofore unseen new members of Optimus Prime's team, Wheeljack - the einstein looking robot, who outfits NEST with special gear to allow them to fight Transformers better and Mirage, the Ferrari Italia, who has his Electro-Disruptor.
Also from Cth are some spoilers from the junior novel, featuring what is destined to be an epic exchange between Optimus Prime and Sentinel Prime that I really hope is in the movie, and the explanation of where Mikaela went. Check them out here - BEWARE, SPOILERS! The books also feature a decent selection of spoilers including a vague overview of the plot. Be warned, if you read on, you will be spoiled about the overall flow of the story in Dark of the Moon! |

An update has gone out from Botcon about this year's Hall of Fame event. Two things are confirmed - first that alongside the four robots to be honored with addition to the Hall of Fame, two of the people behind the series will be added - who will it be? Speculation has long suggested Frank Welker, Flint Dille will be in attendance of course for a "special panel" - could he be being honored?
Additionally there's an extra treat in store - a preview of Transformers Dark of the Moon! The exact text, pasted below, mentions this will be a sneak peak - will it be a series of clips as in 2009, or a full on showing like 2007? I'd imagine the latter, but who knows - Hasbro and Fun Publications are always good to us. The honorees include robots Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave and the highly anticipated 2011 Fan's Choice along with two well known, high profile human inductees! As previously announced, all attendees will receive a goody bag with movie snacks and a 3D Cinemask which you'll need for a sneak peak of the new Transformers Dark of the Moon movie! Trust us - you do not want to miss this event! The goody bag will also include a movie poster along with some other great items from our partners! |

The hype machine for Transformers Dark of the Moon is kicking off! My friend 2005 Boards member Neo-Bombshell, along with other members of the Peruvian Transformers community and various people from Hasbro and the movie industry were treated to a special showing of 30 minutes worth of footage from Dark of the Moon. The footage naturally includes a decent amount of spoilers, so read on at your risk! Of note is just how dark the tone is - there's still some humor, but there are also scenes along the lines of showing human skulls, victims of Decepticon attack, and characters getting torn apart.
Check out Neo-Bombshell's writeup of the preview by reading on - once again, this contains heavy spoilers so stop reading here if you don't want to be spoiled on what lies in store with Dark of the Moon. |

From the day we foundout about this new figure; Cyberfire Bumblebee (a new Deluxe Class version, not the Legends Class version of the same name), many of you were wondering what this toy is. Sure we got to see Fireburst Optimus Prime (Voyager Class) but to this day Transformers: Dark of the Moon Deluxe Class Cyberfire Bumblebee was a mystery.
TFW2005 Boards Member len_d69 from Malaysia is sharing with is an image from the “Transformers: Dark of the Moon Toy Guide Book” distributed freely with purchase of RM200 & above (limited to first 150 persons per store). While we congratulate him for getting hold of the book, we thank him for sharing with us our first image of Cyberfire Bumblebee. BUMBLEBEE has earned his position as one of the most respected AUTOBOTS®* by consistently besting DECEPTICON®* foes. He established a library of battle strategies within the Autobot supercomputer Teletraan-I so that AUTOBOTS will have access to his winning maneuvers for centuries to come! |

Alfes’ Blog has posted a gallery of Transformers: Dark of the Moon Voyager Optimus Prime with MechTech Trailer Japanese Release.
This set of images is the most comprehensive pictorial review for the figure we’ve seen up to this day. The trailer can easily hold two Deluxe sized figures in vehicle mode or you can neatly store away a lot of MechTech weapons inside and/or attach them to the outside of the trailer. Unfortunately though, unlike the Ultimate Optimus Prime, the trailer does not transform into the Omega Combat Armor. You can checkout the images here and here. The images are also mirrored on this news post. |

Stan is a frequent guest of Botcon, and it is always cool to hear "The Touch" performed live if you get a chance. It is especially appropriate for Stan to attend this year of course as it is 25 years since Transformers The Movie made Stan Bush's The Touch into a major part of Transformers lore.

2005 Boards member Masabon has shared with us some in hand images of the confirmed Japan-only Dark of the Moon Air Raid. The back of the packaging lacks the Hasbro branding, which is a very strong indication that this Revenge of the Fallen Thrust remold with added MechTech points is a Japan exclusive release. He's a pretty sharp looking Autobot with three MechTech weapon points - one on the back of the jet which becomes his right arm in robot mode, and two beneath the wings. Masabon has also provided us with a copy of Air Raid's bio, complete with an unfortunate typo from Takara-Tomy:
Airlaid is one of the most skillful soldiers among Autobots. He prefers to fly into the middle of the enemy rather than shoot-out from a distance. His technique for firefighting breaks enemy lines and finds a way out for victory. Additionally, Masabon confirms that the golden MechTech weapons promotion at Toys R Us Japan is limited to 10,000 pieces, and that each Toys R Us has 100 pieces in stock. Read on to check out Masabon's images. |

The advance screening impressions of Transformers 3 Dark of the Moon continue to roll in. Off the back of Neo-Bombshell's experience with 30 minutes of the film, Capone of Ain't It Cool News got to see a rough cut of the whole movie in Chicago. He's shared a detailed, but light on spoilers, review of the film. There are some good points in there including the final word on Skids and Mudflap - they are in the film, but they are toned down.
Other keypoints are: - The battle of Chicago runs for an hour, with not a second wasted. - Megatron is very creepy still with part of his head missing from the final battle of Revenge of the Fallen. - Leonard Nimoy voices Sentinel Prime to "perfection". - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley spends a lot of time in the tightest clothes imaginable. She does have a role in the film and is reckoned to be better than Megan Fox, perhaps because she has an active role to play. - Sam's parents are barely in the film. - Civilians die in large numbers during the Chicago battle. The final word from Capone on Dark of the Moon? That this is in his own words, "the third and easily best entry in the Michael Bay-directed franchise". Click here to read his full, low-spoiler write-up at Ain't It Cool News. |

Given away at a special launch event for the Dark of the Moon toyline in Australia was a very cool Dark of the Moon guidebook. There are some great pictures of all the toys we have heard about to date in here including a few we'd not heard or seen much of - such as Cyberfire Bumblebee earlier today.
Ozformers - Transformers Collectors Australia admin Griffin-of-oz has shared scans of the entire guidebook! The guidebook is 32 pages long and includes some new looks at some other toys, in addition to Cyberfire Bumblebee. Included in that list is the new Cyberverse Optimus Prime shown at left, who has a more traditional Optimus Prime colorscheme and has different weapons - Energon swords and shoulder cannons. It's just called "Optimus Prime" in the guidebook, though this might be the "Energy Blade" Optimus Prime that was put about for Cyberverse a while back. New looks at existing toys includes Deluxe Class Mudflap - our first look at official images of the guy and his wicked looking axe weapon. There's also a page dedicated to the Ark playset, complete with some nice views of Roller. Human Alliance Roadbuster also gets a page - these images we've seen before, though these are bigger and HA Roadbuster is such a nice toy it'd be a crime not to mention him! Check out the full guidebook scans over at the Ozformers, and talk about it on our 2005 Boards! |

Yes, you read that right folks - with the Dark of the Moon toyline not even officially released yet, Deluxe Wave 3 has been sighted and purchased at retail in Australia. This is significant because it's also our first confirmation of what is actually in the third wave:
Laserbeak Mudflap Nitro Bumblebee Thundercracker For comparison, here is what is in Wave 1: Ratchet, Skids, Bumblebee, Crankcase, Roadbuster and Starscream And Wave 2: Topspin, Barricade, Jolt and Sideswipe That's 14 different toys. There's no guarantee these will all be on US shelves right away on Monday - although sightings confirm Waves 1 and 2 are in stock rooms and going out on shelves. Australia is typically a little ahead on the releases, so chances are, these new four will be joining the rest before May is over. This report comes to you from Ozformers, with photo proof from Griffin-of-oz. He also reports that the Stealth Force Mini Changer two packs - featuring a vehicle with flip out weapons and a PVC robot hero style figure - have been sighted at Australian Targets. |

Fan Alert - Possible Credit Card Breach
Over the last several days, a higher than normal amount of Transformers fans have been reporting fraudulent charges on their credit cards. Due to the recent security breaches Sony's Playstation Network, Michaels Craft stores, several online DVD stores, Bank of America and some others, we waited on reporting this issue, as highlighting blame to one source or another unwarranted is never a good thing. However, due to the higher-than-normal amount of fans on our forums mentioning a breach, we want to give you a heads up. We have no confirmation at this time exactly where this breach happened. Please check your accounts accordingly. You may see what other fans are saying by reading up on this thread. |

There has been a recent buzz for TF3, but not one you may think. Some how, the Twins got picked up by several blogs and then main stream media again, along with all their social baggage.
This story got referenced, and folks started to do the back and forth. Are they, aren't they? Then all the chatter that went along with their speaking style from the second movie came up. (BTW - that post was made by TFW2005 over a year ago, while things were still in heavy speculation mode.) Anyway, we were contacted today by Paramount directly. They asked us to clarify the following. The Twins will NOT be in the 3rd film, and that the featured cars (from this post) are not actually in the movie.Couple that with a recent post on MichaelBay.com by Michael Bay: After the internet posting of a nice review by someone who saw Transformers Dark of the Moon, the writer had not been clear on one thing. He misstated that the Twins are in the film. They are not.Apparently, regardless of semantics, one thing is clear - The Twins, as we knew them, are not, or WILL not, be in Transformers Dark of the Moon. Hey, at least we still have the toys, right? |

Takara-Tomy have updated with some new information on the Transformers Heat Scramble Collectible Card Game. There are two pages, the first one details the cards in the starter set and the booster packs. The game's cards are divided into three types, Units, Episodes and Actions. Units are self explanatory - they are cards based on the characters of the movie series - all the characters of the Movie series, with the main cast getting multiple cards, though every character gets a card for each different mode seen on screen. Episodes are event cards, based on key scenes from the Movie series, such as the Autobots arriving on Earth, or Sam buying his first car. Action cards we assume are actions that can be taken during the game. The cards are ranked in terms of rarity - from rarest to most common, the grades are Super Rare, Rare, Uncommon, and Common. These are denoted on the linked page as SR, R, U and C.
All of the cards have absolutely gorgeous artwork that really captures the spirit of the Movie series, which is where the second page comes in. This page consists of a gallery of the artwork for all 79 cards in the set. Check it out! The artwork is incredible and shows how much work has gone into this side of the set. It's worth collecting the cards purely for the artwork, in fact! The cards cover the events and characters of Transformers 2007 and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Here is hoping for the first expansion deck to cover Dark of the Moon, and future expansions to cover the other series of the Transformers mythos. |

Darkside Moon Arcee is a remolded version of Chromia from Revenge of the Fallen with an added Mechtech weapon. She is now rendered in blue and gray, with a few basic visual cues to Transformers Prime Arcee. Her bio is as follows:
Arcee has miraculously returned from fierce battle with Fallen alive and acquired fighting skill more than ever. She defeated her enemies with her ultimate conoring force and graceful weapon play. |

2005 Boards member Lushkwok aka L-U of HK-TF.com has shared with us a dazzling and huge collection of Dark of the Moon toy galleries. A lot of these we have seen previously, although with the Dark of the Moon toyline hitting its international toyline release date in many locations around the world tomorrow now is a great time to recap with these images. Take a look at the galleries of all the toys that will be on the pegs, and of the ones that will be hitting retail in the immediate future, and decide for yourself with these awesome images which ones will be on your want list when you hit up Walmart, TRU, Target, or one of our sponsors from the comfort of your own home tomorrow.

Toys R Us Japan has updated with their official product listing for the upcoming Japan only release, Dark of the Moon Vortex. Vortex is a distinctly Classics looking toy, with very little in the way of Movie style aesthetics to him, making his MechTech weapon look rather out of place. Regardless, he is a rather good looking toy with a nice clean design to him which will look great on any shelf. Click on the link above to check out the images.

We found out about them this morning for the first time, and now we have our first images and reviews - from the one and only Ben Yee of BWTF who introduced so many of us, myself included, to the online Transformers fandom in the days of Beast Wars. Today, Ben reviews the brand new, only just announced Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Legion Roadbuster and Starscream Redeco. Roadbuster completes the team of the three Wreckers in the Cyberverse scale, and features his heavily armed "Stealth Force" style vehicle mode. The Starscream redeco is extremely cool - it is the same mold included in the Orbital Assault Carrier set, but where that version is based on Starscream's tattooed look from Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon, this toy utilizes the mold to give us a Legion Class Starscream in his original 2007 Transformers deco, without tattoos. Check out images of both and reviews by clicking on the links above.

Botcon have announced their eighth guest! Guest number 8 is Michael McConnohie, the voice of classic Generation 1 Autobots Tracks and Cosmos, plus Robots in Disguise Autobots Hot Shot and Ironhide. He is also the English voice of two of my favorite anime villains of all time, Big O's Schwarzwald and Code Geass' Emperor Charles zi Britannia. Michael joins the growing list of veteran Generation 1 voice actors to attend Botcon 2011 - so make sure you pack those Shout! Factory Generation 1 series DVD sets because this Botcon is ideal for getting them signed!

Here is an interesting little news nugget for you. IDW Publishing and Andy Schmidt, formerly the editor of GI Joe and Transformers, have parted ways. This is because according to reports, Hasbro have snapped up Andy Schmidt to work for them directly. There's no word on what he will be doing for Hasbro. IDW are now in the unenviable position of finding a senior editor to fill Andy's shoes. Whoever takes over, we wish you luck on looking after the comics of our favorite franchises - and we also wish Andy Schmidt luck in his new role with Hasbro.

Vehicle Modes of Transformers Dark of the Moon Bumblebee and Sideswipe (Chevrolet Camaro and Stingray Convertible respectively) appeared at Royal Oak, Mich for a charity event.
"...Starting with everyone's favorite lovable Decepticon-kicking Camaro, Bumblebee continues its transformation into an ever more aggressive version of itself. This time it picks up some cues from the 2012 Camaro ZL1 including the addition of massive hood vents... ...Once again, Sideswipe is an evolution of Corvette's Stingray concept. This time it's a convertible/speedster. But designers didn't stop there as Sideswipe also sports completely new headlights and a slightly revised front fascia to go with them..." With Dark of the Moon's toyline officially available at US retail, it is time to officially open our own Transformers Dark of the Moon Toy Galleries! Kicking off this newest section of the TFW2005 Galleries with me tonight is SydneyY, who has done some excellent work with Human Alliance Basic Backfire with Spike Witwicky, and MechTech Deluxe Autobot Roadbuster. On my side, I have put up a gallery of the MechTech Voyager Autobot Ironhide. All three showcase all that is awesome about these new toys, and the promise that comes with a new assortment of Transformers toys. Check out the galleries by clicking on the links below:
