The promotional campaign for the Transformers: Dark of the Moon The Album is just as big as for the movie (Well, maybe not that big…. But you get the point). So, if you have subscribed to the newsletter of Transformers 3 Music Website, you may have even gotten an e-mail by now.

Linkin Park announced that they are holding an Artwork Competition. There are plenty of creative folks here at TFW2005. Guys, this is for you. Read the rules and regulations and if you qualify, you may become the lucky winner to have the poster you designed be seen at the Transformers: Dark of the Moon World Premiere at Moscow. Also, you can have a private video chat with the band as well as getting the poster you designed signed by the band. Brief video, after the jump.

Paramore teased us today with a little taste of their upcoming song for the third movie. The song is titled “Monster” and will be available with the TF3 Soundtrack CD.

And in other news, there is a video of Dave from Linkin Park who traveled to Haiti to see firsthand how the United Nations is helping Haiti rebuild, fifteen months after a major earthquake. If you listen from the beginning of the video to the 2:25 mark, you’ll hear the Iridescent Piano Theme which is rumored be featured on the Transformers 3 The Score. Continue on to take a look at the video.

Some are speculating this might have been a "surprise guest" at this year's BotCon convention, happening next weekend in Pasadena, California. If that was the case, the surprise guest has spoiled the surprise!

Steve Blum, known most recently to Transformers fans as the voice of Starscream in the Emmy-nominated Transformers Prime series, announced in an interview with AFTimes that he will be attending the annual Transformers convention next weekend.

How big is Steve Blum in the voice-acting world of Transformers? Well, for ROBOTS IN DISGUISE fans, he voiced Dark Scream and W.A.R.S.. For those of you in to video games, Barricade and Shockwave were his from Transformers: War for Cybertron. He may have also played characters like Wolverine in Wolverline and the X-Men and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and, well, pretty much any video game produced in the last 10 years.

He also revealed that he, and the other voice actors, will be reading an episode script from Transformers: Prime.

This brings the total number of BotCon guests to 1,504,642. Join in the discussion!

After so many rumors, here we are with the confirmed running time of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

According to the Official Michael Bay Website, the running time of Transformers 3 is 134 Minutes (in other words 2 Hours and 14 Minutes).

As our good buddy fallen_revenge said... Grab a big bucket of popcorn and plenty to drink, put on your 3D Cine-Masks (give the Bumblebee mask to your girlfriend, make sure your friend bring one as well)... Enjoy the movie!

"I need to issue a correction.

In the US there will be a :60 TV "Birdmen:" ad/featurette that will run once on June 1 on Spike TV.

Then on June 2 we will have an extended "Birdmen" featurette on this site."

TFW2005 Member Starscreamsfan is bringing us a news and an image to prove that James Horan (voice of Transformers: Prime Wheeljack) mentioning Tony Todd (The Fallen of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen) is the voice of Dreadwing for the said series.

He also mentions that Wheeljack is a recurring role.

I'm recurring as the voice of "Wheeljack", Tony is the voice of "Dreadwing", and Bob is exec. producing, along with partner Alex Kurtzman. There's been a decent amount of buzz on the third party custom Transformers scene over the last couple of days, with a couple of new kits and add-ons announced. While nothing truly groundbreaking has popped up, these might be of interest to some of you guys:

First up, a pair of upcoming releases from CrazyDevy. Their CDMW-22 and CDMW-23 have both been revealed over the weekend. CDMW-22 is an upgrade for Generation 1 Menasor - it's a new head. Does it work for you? It's pictured at left - check it out. Discuss it on our 2005 Boards here.

The second CrazyDevy release is CDMW-23, a Predaking upgrade. This one is something you might have been waiting for - fully articulated hands with adjustable knuckledusters. It looks pretty awesome, though it is pricey as is the way with CrazyDevy items. Link to discussion thread.

Next up is Studio Beezleboss' next release. You may remember them for the Devil Horns Cliffjumper upgrade set, now they're back with a yellow version of the kit matched for Bumblebee. The head is yellow, allowing you to have your yellow Cliffjumper homage, and he comes with black versions of the guns. Discuss it on our 2005 Boards here.

Finally not a new reveal but there are also some in-package images of the Captured Prey exclusive Master Shooter Megagun and Brown King. Sidecutter of Captured Prey also reports that these are in hand and will be released at Botcon 2011 in Pasadena CA - so if you are curious, be sure to head on over to the Captured Prey booth and check these out for yourself at Botcon! Discuss it on our 2005 Boards here.

A small update on this year's Transformers Collectors Club exclusives, Animated Transtech Cheetor and Generation 2 Ramjet. An email has gone out from the club, specifying that they will be shipping out to those who preordered after Botcon (after all, the club doesn't want them to arrive and you're not in because you're chilling with us in Pasadena).

Cheetor will also be available at Botcon 2011 as he did not sell out completely on preorders. As a perfect accompaniment to this year's boxed set I'm sure he'll sell out fast though.

TakaraTomy seems to have this unrequited love of shiny paint, don't they? First Transformers Animated and then Transformers United had some superlative metallic finishes for their Japanese release, and now it seems the Movie series is getting the same treatment. No, we're not talking about Sideswipe - though goodness knows that would be very nice - what we are talking about is the next run of EZ Series toys to be released. A set of six are coming, according to Snakas, using the Revenge of the Fallen Legends Class toys (and Movie 1 Ratchet). The decos are slightly more real world and make use of metallic finishes according to the solicitation which was initially posted by Snakas. The official name of the set appears to be "EZ Collection Real".

We've got one more gallery update for you before Botcon 2011 kicks off - and in the spirit of the event, it's a Transformers Animated themed update! You undoubtedly saw earlier that Marcelo will have a print of the Starscream clone army available at Botcon - well here for your enjoyment are toys of two of the clones. These guys were only released in Japan through a Family Mart lottery draw, so they are very rare, especially Ramjet who was a mail away prize in exchange for non-winning tickets.

First up is Animated Activators Skywarp, the "C" Prize of the Family Mart prize draw. Bizarrely he's got a purple head in this iteration, although it does suit him and nicely break up all that black. He's a fun deco, and with the Activators of Starscream and Thundercracker, he rounds out the trio of the original Seekers in at least one size class for Animated.

Next up is Animated Activators Ramjet. Ramjet was the "second chance" prize, redeemable by sending in tickets for the lowest ranked items in the prize draw. This makes him the hardest of the Activators Seekers to get hold of, even harder than Dirge, but take a look at the gallery and you'll see he is well worth it.

Give mad props to 2005 Boards Photo Staff member SydneyY for bringing you these two galleries of awesome rare Animated goodness - and be sure to join us after Botcon for even more Animated goodness, when we share with you pictures of the convention exclusive toys in all their glory.

The back of the package is also shown, and a cross-sell confirms the existence of a Kre-O Sentinel Prime based on the Dark of the Moon design. Starscream is also shown in package - not such high res images, and we've had official images of him, but still noteworthy and interested. Click on the above links to check out both listings.

Even more Kre-O news! Up next we have official images of the Kre-O Sentinel Prime and Megatron sets in their robot modes. Megatron you might have seen on the front of the box earlier on, so this is a better look at him, but it is Sentinel Prime who is the star of this news post. The Kre-O set as we reported is based on Dark of the Moon Sentinel Prime and features his giant sword weapon and shield. The head though diverges in style a bit, with a more Generation 1 style and a slight influence from Animated Sentinel Prime. Check out both official images, which originated from Select2gether, for a look at these building block versions of classic characters.

For many months that came after the big reveal of Ferrari 458 Italia being an Autobot on Transformers 3, fans debated the identity of the bot. Fan favorite name was Hot Rod.

But during the Chicago filming a name came upRush. The name alone was enough to stir up the hornets’ nest. This was quickly subdued by Nelson, mentioning that the car was parked on Rush Street. Today, thanks to Nelson… we foundout that the script actually had referred the Ferrari as Rush during the early stages of filming (a pet name like Wheelbot and Skipjack who turned out to be Scavenger/Demolishor and Rampage respectively).

And then… when Hasbro revealed their upcoming Speed Stars line, the name Mirage came into public attention. This was later plastered onto everyone’s minds by the Transformers: Dark of the Moon tie-in Comic Books, Novel and Video Game.

Just when everything seems all fine and dandy, all hell broke loose (seriously, I couldn’t find a better word for the situation) with the information told by Michael Bay Official Website Administrator; Nelson Lauren at S4TE as well as on TFW2005 Boards. He brings to the table some reasons as to why the name Mirage will not appear on the movie.

Nelson says that the Ferrari 458 Italia will be called by another name and will have an Italian Accent. The name itself is now a mystery as Nelson says that the car/Autobot in question is now named after a famous Italian.

At the moment this is highly debatable, but it is best to wait a month and findout the name of the car which Jeremy Clarkson [of Top Gear] once as "the first properly pretty Ferrari since the 308".

Atomic Laser, who made the reproduction sets for the Generation 1 1984 Tech Specs, returns with volume 2 in a two part set for year 1985. The Tech Specs have been digitally recreated from the ground up as new super clean high resolution artwork. The art has been fine tuned. Color matching ensures consistency throughout every card in the set. The "coding" on this set is done in the 1985 style. It's a set of 22 cards, covering the remaining section of Generation 1, and if you like what you can see, you can purchase it at our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource.

In what has become an annual tradition since 2003, the crew at TFW2005.COM is having the annual "TFW2005 Meet Up" at BotCon 2011 Friday, 9pm at Charlie's Bar in the Sheraton Hotel. This is the same hotel as the convention, so when you're finished with your dinner at Casino night with BotCon, come downstairs and meet up with some of your fellow TFW2005 members!

Come and say hello to some of the TFW2005 staff (Tony_Bacala, Super_Megatron, Sol Fury, Kickback, Deefuzz, Vangelus, GogDog, Seth Buzzard, and more!) and meet up with your friends and favorite members of the TFW2005 message board!

WHAT: BotCon 2011 TFW2005 Meet Up
WHEN: Friday, 9pm
WHERE: Charlie's Bar, inside the Sheraton Hotel (the main convention hotel)

As always, time and location can change in an instant, and we're not guaranteed to finish the evening at Charlie's Bar. Either way, we want to meet you! The only thing we can guarantee is a good time with good people. We hope to see you there! Bonus points if you show up in a TFW2005 shirt!

Got the word from MTV…

"As Linkin Park's musical vision gets more expansive and ambitious, so too have their videos. We've got a sneak peek of "Iridescent," the lead single off the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon soundtrack. And if the clip below is any indication of the entire video, the band has fully embraced their sci-fi side, as the hand (of God?) reaches out to a group of people wholly obscured by sheets. Meanwhile, Mike Shinoda caresses a snake, while a H.R. Giger-esque creature scans a floating, holographic rotating polygon.

Directed by band member Joe Hahn, "Iridescent" is the fourth single from the band's fourth album A Thousand Suns. And don't forget to watch the full-length "Iridescent" video when it premieres Thursday, June 2, on MTV and MTV.com."

You can read the Press Release and the Video Sneak Peek, after the jump.

As promised, Botcon organizers are sharing convention news via their Twitter account, giving us the big reveal of Animated Minerva as the Customization Class exclusive! Minerva was a character from the Generation One Japanese series Masterforce and commands big bucks on the vintage market. And now a lucky few Botcon attendees will create their very own update in the Animated line!

Minerva is a redeco of Animated Arcee, with new head antennae. Class participants can choose from G1 or Animated styling, per @Botcon.
