The third party group behind the recent Animated Menasor and the potential Powermaster Animated Prime teasers has stepped up and revealed themselves. Named "G1uppers" they describe themselves as "a group of Transformers collectors that work hard to create awesome upgrade kits for your already awesome official products."
They currently plan on having representatives at the upcoming Canadian Transformer convention TFCon which takes place July 30th and 31st in Mississauga, Ontario. |

Thanks to Comics Continuum, we now have a preview of the upcoming Transformers #21 from IDW. This is the first issue that starts the "Chaos" event, and also starts the bi-weekly format for the comics series.
IDW describes the upcoming issue: "Transformers goes bi-weekly! Two stories for the price of one, kicking off the 'Chaos' event!! In part one, Rodimus makes his triumphant return to Earth, and sets off the major events that will spin off into Chaos. And in part two, Prowl begins his investigation...of Spike. This storyline will change Transformers forever!" |

The home-formats release of Transformers Dark of the Moon may include a hefty amount of cut footage, according to a recent interview with the stars posted on MTV.com. In the interview, it is mentioned how there are "hours and hours" of the cast riffing and ad-libbing bits of scenes, much of which evidently did not get included in the final cut. One such scene, involving Jon Malkowich, is described in the article,
"It was just a little tiny thing where I go back to Rosie after I leave the apartment and try to get her number," Malkovich explained. "That's the kind of thing that could be true to the character and could not be true to the character — hard to say — but is utterly superfluous to the forward movement of the film." It's unlikely there are any robot scenes among the cut footage though - given the expense of making and animating scenes, it's hard to imagine any of it being cut out completely. |

According to Showbizspy, Jason Statham may be taking over as the lead actor in the next Transformers Movie. Coincidentally enough, he is also dating Rosie Huntington Whitely, who was in the recent movie:
“One of the stars being mentioned is Rosie’s boyfriend Jason Statham,” says a Hollywood insider. “It’s clear the franchise still has huge potential but with a new leading man capable of taking Transformers in a new, darker direction. Jason could be just the man to do that and his relationship with Rosie would be an added bonus in marketing the movie.” Darker direction? Do you think Statham has what it takes to step in Shia Labeouf's shoes? |

BTS Toys has updated their site with new images of a final production sample of BTS04 Sonicron, a figure based on a design by Guido Guidi for Soundwave, and compatible with your CHUG figures. Not only does it have full articulation, it's also compatible with Soundwave's G1 transforming cassettes! This figure does differ in some notable areas when compared to the preproduction sample reviewed early last month.
Stay tuned, as we have a gallery and review on the way. In the meantime, check out the most recent images after the jump! |

Third-party newcomer Maketoy has updated their website with some very interesting photos of a new figure Giant from their Build series. While the individual member photos are blurred, it is still pretty clear that each figure bears a striking resemblance to members of a certain construction combiner team. This also gives fans another option besides the TFC Toys Hercules for this same type of combiner figure.
There is a clear photo of the group of toys combined, illustrating some of the articulation of the figure (notably the ankles and articulate fists) as well as a good idea of what the combined form will look like! Click the link to view all of the mirrored images. |

With the release of Transformers Dark of the Moon, the literal dam of concept art has broken and washed down upon the Internet. We are drowning in concept art right now - and like you, we're loving every gasping breath of it!
We're pleased to bring you some concept art done by Wesley Burt (with thanks to Concept Art World), who worked alongside Michael Bay and Nigel Phelps to help create some of the really amazing things seen in the latest installment from Paramount. You'll see plenty of things you recognize (Igor!), some things that didn't make the cut (some cool Optimus Prime trailer battle-station modes), and some names for characters that obviously were changed ("Steeljaw"?). What are you waiting for? Click the story title to check out all the images! |

Character development, weaponry and weaknesses — all this and then some from TRANSFORMERS: More Than Meets The Eye, the Headmasters/Super-God Masterforce/Victory and Beast Wars are examined. Moderated by Matt Proulx (Hasbro), panelists include Brian Ward (Shout! Factory) and members of the Hasbro team. This will provide a users’ guide to all the history you need to start your fan obsession and some long-held secrets valuable to those fans already entrenched. Shout! Factory will have a must-visit booth (#4248), stylized with a thematic backdrop on the main convention floor. The booth will showcase a variety of upcoming and current home entertainment product lines. Filmmakers, stars and surprised special VIP guests will be on-hand at the Shout! Factory booth for autograph signings, daily prize sweepstakes, fan interactive activities and more! Exclusive items available as gift-with-purchase on several exciting DVD titles. Nobody is safe as Vangelus, Gogdog, Aaron, Seth Buzzard, and Omegus Prime have at Transformers: Dark of the Moon until their faces are blue and somebody needs to go eat a damn burger. You will laugh, cry, nod, and be enraged. Spoiler filters are disengaged. It's time for movie talk.

Transformers Dark of the Moon has become the fastest movie ever to reach the $500 million dollar mark in worldwide totals. And we promise that we'll stop updating on how much money Dark of the Moon is making - as soon as it stops breaking records!
Here are some base stats for you, courtesy of BoxOfficeMojo: - Dark of the Moon surpasses both "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" in how fast it took to get to $500 million worldwide (PotC:OST and PotC:aWE took 10 days, DOTM took 8) - Dark of the Moon is sitting at $214 million domestically - And while it may be staggering to believe, Dark of the Moon has earned $297.1 million in foreign markets ... wow! - Dark of the Moon has yet to open in China or Japan, which combined, could contribute up to $100 to $150 million to the total grossings And more importantly... If Dark of the Moon can survive the upcoming hiccup (Harry Potter), then it is very possible that Dark of the Moon will reach the $1 billion mark by the end of the summer, making it the 9th movie ever to hit the $1 billion mark. Five years ago, who would have thought that our beloved Transformers would be a billion-dollar movie franchise, let alone have a single movie possibly draw in $1 billion dollars? Love it or hate it, the facts and the green are there! Discuss away! |

Studio Beezleboss has sent out information to online retailers including our sponsors TFSource of an upcoming add-on kit for Classics Bumblebee to convert him into Goldbug. The "Growing Pains" kit will consist of a new Goldbug styled head and a "personal defense weapon" which will apparently be electroplated. This kit will probably be responsible for driving up the costs of that shiny United Bumblebee, which is a deco especially appropriate for Goldbug.
Check out the picture at left, and click here to visit TFSource and place your preorder. |

Transformers Dark of the Moon is set to release on Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray, and Digital DVD on November 15th, 2011 according to the folks of Blu-Ray.com.
As to be expected, there will most likely be numerous "store exclusive" versions of this movie-release, as we've previously reported. As we get closer to the release date of November 15th, more information will be revealed. Past DVD releases have included things from transforming DVD covers to actual toys. We anticipate a 3-pack of all three movies to be released around this time as well. What format are YOU going to buy - Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray, or Digital DVD? We want to know! Join in the discussion! Image used in this story is simply a mock-up of what the DVD could look like. No official images have been released of the upcoming DVD cover. |
