The hunt begins again, I suppose! The Walmart exclusive of Track Battle Roadbuster (which is a repaint of the Roadbuster deluxe from the first wave) has been sighted at three different Walmarts in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. This toy appears to be in a case all by itself, similar to how the Walmart Exclusive Deluxe Optimus Prime was released.

Some new images have been posted on ACToys showing off the latest prototype images of the TFC Toys Dinorobots. All five of these not-Dinobots are now shown in their dino modes, as well as a shot of the combined mode. No shots of the individual robot modes are offered, but there is a look at the assembly line where these prototypes are being made, complete with a glimpse of something in robot mode off to one side. Could it be one of these Dinorobots or one of the Starcats robots that these seem to be coming out with?

You may have already read TFW2005’s coverage of Transformers Ongoing splitting into two titles; More Than Meets The Eye & Robots In Disguise (If you haven’t read… go read. But mind you… Spoilers!). Both issues are set to release in 4 different covers each in January, 2012. But, as some of you noticed, the covers combine to form one single image each.
Transformers artist Alex Milne is handling the More Than Meets The Eye cover while Marcelo Matere (who is also another famous artist) handles the Robots In Disguise cover. Joining them are talented Priscilla Tramontano, and Josh Perez to take care of the awesome coloring. Thanks to the DeviantArt accounts of the artists, we are treated with the inter-connected covers. Take a look... after the jump. |

Rakutan shop Toysanta has updated with some new images of Kabaya Transformers Gum Wave 4. This new series of Transformers candy kits has a few other features we were previously unaware of - namely, the Rodimus comes with two face stickers (I am guessing the head is interchangeable somehow?). One sticker has the youthful Rodimus, while the other sticker has the more weathered Rodimus Prime face. The two faces go together nicely with the bonus parts from the three sets, which together form up Rodimus Prime's trailer. Also shown is Victory Leo in his Victory Saber combiner parts form, although the final Kabaya Victory Saber is not shown - you'll have to buy the set to experience the Transformers Gum equivalent of the Victory Combination for yourself! Click on the link above or read on to check out the images.

The latest from Gameinformer's coverage of High Moon Studio's Fall of Cybertron is all about Autobot Jazz. Optimus Prime's lieutenant in the original cartoon, Fall of Cybertron is set to see Jazz take the role of a playable character. The article has some spoilers as it goes into detail about how Jazz fits into the story, and there is also some examination of how Jazz's personality is integrated into the way the character moves and plays. A key feature discussed in the article is how Jazz has an emphasis on speed - his levels are large and multi-tiered, and Jazz can traverse them using his signature grapple ability, which older fans might remember from the earliest episodes of Transformers Generation 1.
It is also mentioned in the course of the article that Cliffjumper is also expected to be a playable character, and that he and Jazz have a "buddy cop" kind of dynamic between them. Click here to check out the full article, then discuss it on our 2005 Boards. Be sure to check out the full artwork of Fall of Cybertron Jazz on the second page of the article. |

Last few days, we’ve been hearing a lot about Director Michael Bay, Jason Statham, Shia LaBeaouf (Sam Witwicky) making comments regarding the floating rumors. But what about the current Transformers Live Action Movie star actress; Rosie Huntington-Whiteley?
Well here she is addressing the possibility of her (as well as Shia and Michael’s) future involvement with the Transformers Movie Franchise. "We'll see about that," Huntington-Whiteley told Los Angeles Times, Monday at the Hollywood Awards, seemingly doubtful about LaBeouf's statement. Asked if the actor could be persuaded to return for another "Transformers," she replied: "I think so. He'll kill me for saying that." We are yet to hear the official announcement which is said to happen soon. But, on many interviews and on his official website, Michael Bay mentioned that he won't be returning to direct another TF Movie. |

A solicitation for the Tomy diecast vehicle brand Tomica surfaced today, providing some in-package images of the non-transformable representations of both Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. Both of these toys depict these characters from their Dark of the Moon representations. Notably, this is another DotM toy of Optimus Prime that includes his trailer (thus making it slightly higher in retail cost than the Bumblebee).

Some more images of the TFC Toys Dino-Combiner group have been posted over at Action Figure Checklist. These new images show the group of five not-Dinobots in dinosaur and combined mode, and for the first time ever, in their individual robot modes! These new images indicate that the five have varying degrees of Generation 1 influence in their design - while Swoop and Slag look very muck like updates of their originals, Grimlock and Snarl have less resemblance, while Sludge ends up looking rather generic. Check out the images and see for yourself.
Meanwhile on ACToys, closeup images of the remaining three in dino mode have been posted. We've seen Swoop and Grimlock's dinos before, shown here in higher resolution are Snarl, Slag and Sludge. |

The latest Transformers Fall of Cybertron update from Gameinformer is a timeline, showing the events of Transformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron in relation to each other, and also to events covered in the Transformers Exodus and Exiles books (Exiles is merely alluded to). There are some hints - spoilers potentially - at what might be coming in Fall of Cybertron's plot in this timeline. Check it out - this is the closest we have yet seen to a definitive timeline of this continuity, although all indications within the article state that this is High Moon's timeline, and not the official Hasbro timeline which also incorporates Transformers Prime.

The first of three new Soundwave toys coming out over the course of the next few months, Legion Class Soundwave is a nice affordable version of the Decepticon Mercedes SLS AMG. Nicely detailed and featuring a simple yet effective transformation, Cyberverse Soundwave is a pretty fun little toy - though one with a few balance issues in robot mode. The official Transformers the Ride blog has updated with a release detailing the launch of the new ride. Transformers the Ride opens at Universal Studios Singapore on December 3 2011, with a special premiere launch night attended by Michael Bay on December 2. The ride is set to feature 12 scenes, and Evac, a new character created for the ride, is also the vehicle that the audience will ride in. Evac according to the article is "a stealth transportation Autobot stationed on Earth designed to transport personnel and classified materials at hyper speeds." The article also mentions that guests will be brought into the experience as new NEST recruits, and that the Decepticons will be after an Allspark shard.
By all indications this is looking to be an extremely fun ride. Transformers the Ride is opening in the US at Universal Studios California in 2012, giving US fans a chance to experience the fun. |

Game Informer continues its awesome coverage of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron game news for the upcoming sequel to the highly praised Transformers: War for Cybertron.
On today’s article High Moon Studios tells us how they treat the franchise we all know and love with great respect by staying true to its original concepts. “We were in the middle of a – I don’t want to call it a retcon – but the process of creating a new continuity. The core messages of the brand had been lost along the way, so it was time to restate the obvious to fans and new viewers. What is the early origin story? Who are the core members of the Autobots? What are the Primes? We were in the middle of all that when the pitch from High Moon came and all that kind of dovetailed together nicely. The new cartoon series, the novels, and both Cybertron games are all official cannon.” Read more at Game Informer. |

Writer Alex Irvine just announced that he’s leaving from writing Transformers Novels.
On his blog, Mr. Irvine wrote: "To Transformers Fans An announcement, because many of you are asking: Someone else is going to be picking up the reins on the Transformers novels from here on out. I enjoyed writing Exodus and Exiles, and enjoyed the conversations with fans even more. Time for me to go do some other things, and for another writer to dig into the rich history of Cybertron and its valiant refugees. (And their dastardly enemies, of course!) If you liked Exodus and/or Exiles, check out my other books. Here's a good listing to get you started. Thanks for reading!” This announcement comes only hours after the Game Informer article regarding Transformers Lore. We at TFW2005 wish Mr. Irvine best of luck on his future work and thank him for his contributions to the Transformers community. |

2005 Boards member Masabon has shared some in hand images of the Tomica Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime with us. This Hotwheels styled Optimus Prime, marketed as "Solar Power Optimus Prime" is like Takara-Tomy's version of RPMs. Check out the images to see more of this release and see how it compares to Hasbro's RPMs / Speed Stars.

Third-party group Dr. Wu has updated via ACTOYS with yet another upcoming product by them, this time being of a replacement face for the FansProject Protector armor set, giving the toy a smoother and more traditionally-styled face. One that won't stop staring at the text of the news story.
Dr. Wu is also producing Non-Transforming Sharkclones, and a light-up Unicron head for the Armada mold or it's various reuses. |

UPDATE: TFW2005 member Bountyan has updated us on this item, informing us that there will be two versions sold: one with a normal face (The one shown here in this news story) and one with "Glasses", which is presumably based on the visor that Rodimus used in the 1986 movie. |

Ryanchurch.com has updated his website with some unseen concept art from Dark Of The Moon. These new images show off what some of the Decepticon space ships may have looked like as well as some new images of Shockwave and the Driller. The Driller concept art is interesting as it depicts the Driller as a vehicle for Shockwave. Complete with a control panel and cockpit.
What do you think of these new images? Sound off on the 2005 boards by hitting the title bar and joining the discussion. |

This third party add-on set for Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime transforms from tanker trailer, to a full armor set and a further optional "power up" mode incorporating the rest of the tanker. It's set for a November release, price TBA but thought to be around $100.
