Just curious how rare this actually is. I just picked one up for dirt cheap so it's only as valuable as it's demand, but it does seem to be on the rare side.
I know Test has one so that puts the number to 2 and I'm sure some of you have it. Let it be known here. |

It is super rare ... but I dnt really think there is much demand for it at the moment.
I also have a grune proto. Trouble is I think the entire line is currently worthless. But Im still happy I was able to get everything as it holds value to me , and thats all that really matters. You never know what could happen in years to come though ... and grune the variant along with other rarities like slithe and the storm charger could become extremely sought after when the mountains of unwanted/mass produced figures die away and people suddenly realise they cant find em anymore lol ....... this could take many years though and even then there is no guarantee that anyone will even care about toys from a failed attempt at a second rate thundercat run...... |

Like I said before, they're worthless now with zero demand but I'm just trying to get a head count on him. Still at two. Just you and me so far. I know more members here have him. At least they did at one point.

I want one, but my funds are below zero at the moment. I have the Mumm-Ra logo variant and I have a Grune test shot, but I don't have that Grune ThunderCat logo variant. Hopefully the next time an eBay seller has a good deal like that I'll have $20 extra in my checking account. Not this month though.

Englishw, that guy has been trying to unload these 4 Grune's for months now. He only has one left but I think you have a good chance when you have the extra money.
Thanks for the input Thunder Jedi. 3 so far. Anyone else? |

Guys,
Just paid for last one, I have never seen this variant in the UK after much searching! Thanks for post Mongor, wheher its gonna be worth a bundle in a couple of years or not, it's the fact it's not the normal version that are clogging shelves in the UK that makes it appealing to me. |

Maybe someone else can provide pictures, but here is the scoop: The 4" Deluxe Grune by Bandai (2011) features Grune with a Mumm-Ra logo on his chest. In a very limited release, Bandai put out a variant with the same figure in the same packaging with the ThunderCats logo on his chest. There is still debate as to whether is was an intentional variant on Bandai's part or if it was a wide-spread production error, but it is cool. So, the Mumm-Ra logo is the "regular" version and the ThunderCats logo is the "variant" version. Hope that clears it up for ya =o)

Been a lurker for a while now, but just registered today to let people know that the variant is avail at Ross or at least the Ross by me. I picked up both the mumm-ra and thundercat logo. There was one Thundercat logo left on the pegs if anyone still needs one let me know. They were really cheap BTW $3.99 so ya'll might want to head out and have another look.

I have a Grune Thundercat logo avail if anyone needs one. Two of the three I have are gone and I don't like this figure enough to keep him so I will send him to anyone who needs him. Pm if you are interested, I am selling him for $6.34 plus shipping.

Thanks adssse, glad you like him.
Here in Los Angeles I have found more of the variant logo than the Mumm-ra logo, sending out three more tomorrow. Think that brings my shipped total to 5. Seriously if anyone is still looking PM me. |

No I think Mongor means 11 have been found. I just sent him a loose one today.
You can add one more since I saw it at the Ross across from The Grove on 3rd, it didn't have a price sticker and the line was super long so if anyone is brave enough there was one on the shelves as of yesterday, you will just have to convince them to sell it to you for 3.99. |

Add the two more I just picked up today, one is on hold and one is avail. Ross is adding extra return time so I can hang on to him for any late comers. Boxes have some shelf-ware, you can see some quick pix in the Ross thread I started.

To be honest im surprised these even showed up at the discount stores like they have. I would of assumed they would of received the later wave 1 cases (without the CN logo on the card).

Glad you got him Mongor, and now I will await pictures.
I can say that a trashed TC Grune was spotted in a Ross off PCH in Torrance, this time it wasn't the line it was his ripped box and slightly sloppy TC logo. See these things are so common now I am leaving less than perfect ones behind, so that's two I have left in the wild, someone grab them. |
