Good eyes! I read this as I was walking through Wal-Mart and they had one of each on the pegs. I had to get'em. I also noticed that the cats symbol on the figures chest is different on each figure. Can't really see it in the your pic's, but the Tygra with the longer whip has a darker red symbol and the one with the short whip has a brighter red symbol. Also the figure trays are completely different. Thanks for posting this!

Yep they're definitely different. I noticed while watching Peaugh's review. My Tygra's whip is nearly twice as long as his.

It looks like Bandai is stoping production on the short whip and now packaging the whip from the Deluxe figure with the basic 4" figure.

I take that back. Now I think Bandai is just creating variations to sell more figures or possibly adressing some kind of safety issue.

I found the Deluxe Tygra with a short whip. The 1st release of Tyra 4" had a short whip and the 1st releas Deluxe had a long whip. Now there switching them around. What's up with that Bandai?

Here's some pic's.

That's a weird little change.

I hope they do Tygra in his blue uniform from the first issue.

I looks like someone just skimped on the paint. The head still has the same oversized forehead.

Wave 2 Tygra's face is way more accurate. I still like the first one for the simplicity

Looks like the same paint variation I already have with the wave 1 figures:
I have 3 tygras and a seperate Tank Tygra. The tiny eyes are best noticed on the Tank version.

I need to find these with the trading cards. And I agree I would love to see a Tygra in the blue outfit. I'd also love to see figs of him in his younger versions and they should have made the wave two with his new whip. I'd also love to see that sniper rifle he used one ep as an accessory. That was a cool gun.

Noticed another thing while looking at my figures. Above the UPC there is a code. if its says BAI - its first release, BAI-1 its a revision figure, BAI-2 its another revision of an item. So CN Logo Wave 1 Items should read BAI, the Wave 1 Items without the logo should read BAI-1, and the wave 1 stuff that carried over into wave 2 should say BAI-2.

I own one now and can confirm its a bai-2. Still convinced the trading card versions were meant to be a retailer exclusive. And since the line failed they were unloaded to 5 Below.

Thanks, that's very interesting! Is 5 Below the only place the ones with cards were sold?

I think they showed up at a few different kinda close-out stores.

So I am trying to figure out what all of the different versions of the 4' Basic Tygra are and would really like any feedback...

I believe there are two US/UK waves and the European cards correct? Also, there are a few details that factor into making the different versions (Whether the CN Logo is present, snap tag color, size/style of the eyes, length of the whip, trading card). Having said this here is what I believe to be different versions that exist...

Wave 1
CN Logo, Big Eyes, Short Whip
No CN Logo, Big Eyes, Short Whip
No CN Logo, Big Eyes, Long Whip
No CN Logo, Small Eyes, Long Whip

Wave 2 (Are all of these without CN Logo, small eyes, long whip?)
No CN Logo, Small Eyes, Long Whip, No Card
No CN Logo, Small Eyes, Long Whip, Card

European (Are all of these no CN logo, small eyes, long whip?)

I am assuming the following versions do not exist?
Wave 1
CN Logo, Small Eyes, Short Whip
No CN Logo, Small Eyes, Short Whip
CN Logo, Big Eyes, Long Whip
CN Logo, Small Eyes, Long Whip

I hope this isnt too unclear. Any help is appreciated!
