A new image has been posted of the TFC Toys Hercules set via Jeffryzhong's weibo account. This new image shows all six team members in their robot modes as a single group shot. Check out this image to see how Exgraver, Heavy Labor, Structor, Dr. Crank, Neckbreaker and Mad Blender all look when stood up together in robot mode.

On a bit of side news, online retailer Robot Kingdom has received and relayed news that Heavy Labor has been delayed from his original September release window to some time in October.

Some new images of an unknown Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime redeco have been posted on Facebook by Hong Kong fan group Transformers Galaxy. This redeco comes with Laserbeak's Mech Tech chainguns, this time cast in an interesting shade of brown / gold plastic. Optimus himself is in an interesting mix of clear blue plastic and solid red plastic. He also features some silver paint applications to represent wear or battle damage - it's an interesting redeco which currently has no confirmed home. Though if we were to guess, he might be a part of that $50 Toys R Us exclusive set, perhaps with that gray Shockwave redeco.

The Transformers Collectors Club have updated with some new information and a sketch of Ultra Magnus for the 2012 comic. The key part of the story as we had previously heard at Botcon is that while the last two years of the story were all about the Elite Guard era and the war's dawn, the new story kicking off in 2012 will flash forward to the present day;

Year three flash forwards to the "present" and kicks off with the initial installment written by G1 Transformers story editor and writer Flint Dille! With Jesse Wittenrich and Pete Sinclair continuing the adventure, you will NOT want to miss the action in 2012!

Yes, you read that correctly, Flint Dille will be penning part one of the 2012 comic, "A Flash Forward", which will feature Runamuck and Runabout and so much more!

Head on over to the Transformers Collector's Club homepage to find out more and get signed up.

Grab your salt shakers people, open the lid and take a big grain of salt. Latest reports and interviews with Tyrese Gibson, the actor who played Epps in the Transformers trilogy, have had a statement by the actor that might cause quite a stir.

"My humble prediction would be that... we're at $1.1 billion. This is the biggest year of my life. I'm on the other side of $1.7 billion in box office receipts, between both films. I think, with the success of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, both Michael Bay and Shia probably want a break from the franchise, but there's no way, I believe, that, at some point, they're not going come back to do Transfomers 4. Maybe they need a few years to get a few other creative things out of their system, which is understandable, but for people to love this franchise around the world like they do, it's damn-near crazy to not give the fans what they love and enjoy again. So maybe two years, maybe three years will go by, you never know, but I believe, and hope, that we are able to do another Transformers. I'm a real Transformers fan, outside of the fact that I'm in the movie, but I just hope we're able to do it again one day. It's the first film in Paramount's 99-year history that has ever grossed $1 billion. I hope we're able to figure this out."

What do you guys think? Wishful thinking on the part of the actor, or is Gibson onto something? Discuss away in the thread.

The coin comes packaged in a rather handsome pocket based on the front of Convoy's truck mode / his chest, which slides in half to open. MP-10, which is set to release tomorrow in Malaysia, is the new and redesigned version of the Masterpiece Convoy mold and features a trailer with Roller, plus a Spike driver figure.

This series features Victory Leo from Transformers Victory, Inferno based on his Transformers Henkei / Universe incarnation, and Hot Rodimus, based on his Masterpiece version. Ad additonal observation pointed out by Snakas is that each comes with a bonus Rodimus Convoy trailer part to power up Rodimus Convoy.

And yes, Victory Leo does combine with the previously released Star Saber Kabaya to form Victory Saber.

That's right, the Class III Star Wars Transformers Darth Vader has hit US retail. This $40 giant toy has four modes - Anakin Skywalker, who turns into a Republic Attack Cruiser. But Anakin falls to the Dark Side, and the toy becomes Darth Vader, who turns into an Imperial Star Destroyer. It's effectively two different toys in one!

The Force was definitely strong with ViceGripX, who found this toy at the Toys R Us in Tacoma, WA.

2005 Boards member xterry has shared with us a magazine scan showing what the upcoming Leader Class Dark of the Moon Striker Optimus Prime will look like. Striker Optimus Prime is a remolded version of Revenge of the Fallen Leader Optimus Prime, with a new blaster and a shield. The shield appears to form part of the rear of the truck in vehicle mode, and is also stated to form a part of this toy's "Stealth Force" mode. It looks like the swords from the previous version of the mold are going to be absent, however.

Also on the scan are first images of what looks like a third exclusive MechTech weapon campaign. As before these are for spending 3'000 yen or more on Transformers Dark of the Moon merchandise, and the campaign launches on 1 October - stay tuned for more information.

Takara Tomy staff Transformers Marketing Producer Mr.Maeda and MP-10 Convoy Version 2.0 designer Mr.Hasui recently (7pm on 22 September) had a two-hour twitter session with fans. One of the key points coming from the conversation has already been widely reported, the reveal of a potential Masterpiece Ultra Magnus Version 2.0. According to the designer, the concept is already completed, and is just waiting fan's positive reaction to make the actual product a reality (so what are you waiting for? Make your voice heard!)

Other points of interest from the Twitter conversation include:

- Alternity cars can fit into MP-10's trailer. Should look good with Bumblebee!
- Looking to future Masterpieces, Masterpiece Megatron Version 2.0 has been considered.
- Many fans passed along their wishes for a Masterpiece Soundwave.
- Transformers United news - There is no immediate plan for future Transformers United releases, but if Transformers United is revisited, the most likely candidates are characters from Generations that have not already been released as United.

Many thanks to 2005 Boards Content and Photo Staff member SydneyY for sending this summary over to us!

IDW Publishing and Hasbro held a press conferance on Wednesday about the future of Transformers comics, with the ongoing Chaos arc, the upcoming Transformers #125 - now simply renamed to The Death of Optimus Prime (spoilered for those who don't already know), and what lies beyond. Comic Book Resources has a full on write-up of the event, with pictures.

There's some new information on Chaos including some awesome art of a total beast of a Transformer that John Barber is calling the Deceptigod, a combiner formed from Galvatron's entire army of Sweeps.

Following on from that there is some news on Transformers 125, originally numbered as such because it was the 125th Transformers comic IDW will publish, but now retitled to avoid confusion for readers. The issue formerly known as Transformers 125 will feature two covers, one by Nick Roche that looks suitably epic, and one by Livio Ramondelli which is an excellent homage to the legendary Marvel Transformers #1 by Bill Sienkewicz.

The article finishes with a tiny bit on the two new series that will be launching next year, Transformers More than Meets the Eye and Transformers Robots in Disguise, although IDW were tight-lipped about what is going into each series, except that John Barber and James Roberts are working closely with each other, and that the events of 125 would have far reaching consequences for members of all three factions across both books. Yes, three factions - an image shown at the presentation teases at the introduction of a neutral, civilian population of Transformers aligned with neither side coming into the mix.

Once again, don't watch this if you do not want the spoilers!

E-Hobby have started up a new English language version of their "E-Hobby Magazine". This sub-site has lots of nice information on past E-Hobby exclusives, both Transformers and non-Transformers related (so as well as The Fallen Blazing Edition, there's some info on the Microman Rescue Patrol). The English language part of the site also features a section called "Collector Universe" profiling collectors and their collections.

The English language translations were done by none other than Hydra Custom, a top guy who has done a lot of work in opening up Japanese Transformers media to English audiences, so be sure to give him some props!

HK-TF member lowbcousin has shared some in-hand images of the Transformers Chronicle Optimus Prime set. This set consists of a reissue Generation 1 Optimus Prime, a premium paintjob version of Deluxe Movie Optimus Prime, and a new trailer. These images show how the trailer opens up, and they also show a rather cool little leaflet that comes with the set, chronicling all the different Autobot / Cybertron leaders, from Optimus Prime / Convoy all the way down to the current Optimus Primes. It's a Japanese centric leadership timeline though, so a couple of the US-only leader toys are omitted (and Beast Machines Optimus Primal is later in the timeline, due to the toys coming much later in Japan).

2005 Boards member catz swung by to deliver us some news about the upcoming Transformers Prime Deluxe Wave 1.5. This assortment, also due out in November like wave 1, features Bumblebee, Arcee and Starscream, but also adds Cliffjumper into the mix! The full breakdown of toys in the case is:

3x Bumblebee
1x Arcee
2x Starscream
2x Cliffjumper

All indications suggest this Cliffjumper is the clean, non-Terrorcon version.

Alfes has updated his blog with images of both Transformers Chroncile sets. Chronicle CH01 includes Generation 1 Optimus Prime and Dark of the Moon (Deluxe) Optimus Prime, with an all-new trailer, while Chronicle CH02 includes Generation 1 Megatron and Dark of the Moon Megatron. Of note on the Optimus Prime set is how the trailer is nicely scaled to hold Cyberverse toys, including the bizarreness of Optimus Prime pulling a trailer containing a smaller Optimus Prime also with trailer. Yeah, we'll take a breather here while your head stops hurting.

The Generation 1 Megatron meanwhile is closer to animation styled, without the usual chrome and also without the gun stock and silencer. Dark of the Moon Megatron is the jewel of the four, with nice silver paint and a much more screen accurate deco.

Here's something I never thought we'd get to see - Ebay seller amoronline has listed an auction for the never-released Transformers Animated Activators Electromagnetic Soundwave. Electromagnetic Soundwave was a white recolor of the original Activators Soundwave, previously revealed when his instructions surfaced on Hasbro's website. His deco appeared in the two part "Human Error" storyline.

Like many later Transformers Animated releases, Electromagnetic Soundwave never made it past a handful of test shots. To be honest I never expected to see what the final product was meant to be like - so getting to see this, even if we can never own it, is a nice surprise.

Another week has literally flown by - where does the time keep on going? Well, no use looking back - we're looking forward with this last week of Transformers news. There's been talk from IDW on the future of Transformers comics - the end of Chaos, Issue 125, and beyond - plus a couple of juicy, tantalizing hints from a Takara-Tomy staff Twitter session about what might lie ahead for the Masterpiece series - including the potential for Masterpiece Ultra Magnus Version 2, with his trailer and everything! The forward look was topped off by a trailer for the big finale of Transformers Prime Season 1, the three part One Shall Rise.

This Friday will see the home release of Transformers Dark of the Moon, the latest summer blockbuster Transformers live-action movie from Director Michael Bay, and the finale of the three live-action movies with Bay and leading man Shia LaBeouf (unless Tyrese's guess is on the money...)

To celebrate the launch of the new movie on DVD & Blu-Ray, we're going to be counting down to the launch, TFW style, with a series of Transformers Dark of the Moon gallery highlights!

Our first Transformers Dark of the Moon gallery highlight is the big dude himself - Optimus Prime. What's special about this gallery though is we are spotlighting not the US release, oh no, we're putting the focus on the Japanese exclusive release from Takara-Tomy. This version gives Optimus Prime a more screen accurate deco, a new and exclusive MechTech weapon, and a trailer scaled for Dark of the Moon Deluxe Class toys, which is again unique to this release.

All pictures in this update are by 2005 Boards Photo Staff member SydneyY! Click on the link below to check them out:

Takara-Tomy Dark of the Moon Voyager Optimus Prime with MechTech Trailer

Be sure to check back every day this week as we bring you more Dark of the Moon toy goodness while we count down to Transformers Dark of the Moon's home release!

For day 2 of our countdown to "Transformers Friday", we draw your attention to another gallery by SydneyY. This time the spotlight falls upon Dark of the Moon Sideswipe, an excellent and fun little toy. Sideswipe first appeared in Revenge of the Fallen for the conclusion of the pulse-pounding Shanghai action sequence, and his main part in Dark of the Moon is to fight against the Dreads with Ironhide in the standout set piece "Mexican Standoff" scene. His toy reflects the new look his vehicle mode gets for Dark of the Moon with the open convertible roof, which has a pleasing side effect of minimising the car parts backpack on the actual toy. Great poseability round out this figure, and really the only fault is he lacks the gorgeous silver finish of the Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe.

Click on the link below to check out the gallery:

Dark of the Moon Deluxe Class Sideswipe

Of course, if you missed out on Sideswipe, there's his extremely handsome looking redeco with a new head named Darksteel coming down the pipeline very soon...

Harry Potter and Transformers toys ruled the market over the summer. Toy News Online reports that, of all this summers licensed toys, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 toys took 19.12% of the market. Transformers: Dark of the Moon was second and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides was a close third.

Unsurprisingly, comic properties like Thor, X-Men and Green Lantern failed to make much of a dent. Just check your toy store shelves for proof. Some properties, like Captain America didn't even make the top 10.
