Hmmm... They look "younger" then the originals. Except for Panthro lol. He reminds me of Hellboy.

I'm guessing their going with more stereotypical anime archetypes. Young hero, jealous family member (Tygra, just a guess), old war hero, love interest.

I like the look. When I first saw it I was thinking of Cowboy Bebop as well. I thought of Jet too when I saw Panthro. funny.
