The Tiger Flyer actually looks pretty cool. Making it smaller, and more of a glider type of thing doesn't bother me. If it was larger I probably wouldn't even consider getting it. At this size I'll most likely get it, as it'll display nicely, and it would be nice to have Tygus.
While it's nice to see a "deluxe" claw shield on the way, it's rather disappointing, tbh. Panthro's nunchucks are nice. They'll be tiny, but I'll probably get them. Though by the way they said it, I'll be surprised if there isn't a "deluxe" set of them coming out later on in the line. The way they explained Classic Mumm-Ra's lack of mid-torso articulation makes sense...I guess. Them mentioning wanting to work Snarf into the line is great to know. I don't really care who they pair him with, I want me a Snarf to go with the Classic 6" figures, and a Snarf to go with the Modern 6" figures. Throw in Classic and Modern Ma-Mutt figures and make it a 4-pack, lol. |

Its kind of a bummer that most of the guys that I want keep ending up in the deluxe line.

The more I see Bandai's newest action figures the more I think of McDonald's Happy Meal toys. There are only a few paint ops, mostly shiny molded plastic and limited articulation. I paid $20 for the collector figures and they are basically all molded plastic with a few painted features. They are not worth the money. In my initial excitement I bought them all but now the more I see them the less I like them. I think Bandai is killing this license. For those of you that like them you'll be happy because I'm sure there will be more of them on the shelf for you to choose from.

That new Claw Shield (while being a major improvement over the first one), is still flawed. It shows that the deluxe Sword of Omens goes with it (play wise), but if you look closely...the Sword that is placed inside of the deluxe Claw Shield is NOT the deluxe Sword of Omens.
I'm not sure if perhaps the Sword used for the pictures was just some cheap "Insert" to show people how it would fit in, or if it can only handle holding a smaller/shorter/thinner Sword? I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm just a sucker for any Sword/Claw Shields that they make. lol |

Part of me hopes they stay away from doing his gun. The more I look at the "Deluxe" Claw Shield, the more of a failure it appears to be (also doesn't look like it'll be much bigger than the basic one). I hope that any future "Deluxe" role-play items they make are as good as the sword is, but I'm currently not confident.

After looking at my small Claw Shield and Sword that fits inside of that...it would appear that the same small Sword fits into the deluxe Claw Shield. The deluxe Claw Shield is much bigger, yet is only designed to hold the small Sword (let's face it, it's a dagger lol)?
The boy modeling it is what? Five or Six years old? The Claw Shield looks like it goes from almost his elbow to his hands (His fingers are out to where the claws are), so realistically one would think that the deluxe Sword should be able to fit in there length-wise. Unless little boys still have very short arms? o_0 |

I find it interesting that they're putting Tygus out of the ancient Thundercats. I wonder if we'll see him again next season.
