On behalf of the entire Transfomers fandom, I would like to thank Simon Furman for sharing the scripts of these unreleased Transfomers comics with us. The folding of Dreamwave was a sad event, as was all the drama that accompanied it. To finally learn how these stories ended is a true gift to us all. So if you should meet Simon Furman at a convention down the road, be sure to give him some massive props for all he has done for Transformers, and our fandom.

You should be able to enjoy these without necessarily knowing what came before.”

Auto Assembly Update

Other events across the weekend include contests for Artwork, Kitbash, Mosaic, and Cosplay, a Beast Wars Transmetals videogame tournament and a Transformers Connect 4 tournament.

Another great event over the weekend is that Hasbro UK will have a display of upcoming Transformers products. The display is billed as showcasing some of the latest Transformers available - so probably nothing groundbreaking in terms of upcoming products, but still a nice chance to see some toys yet to hit the UK in the flesh.


Last but by no means least, let's look ahead to 2012 and Auto Assembly 2012. Bookings are open now for Auto Assembly 2012 and already in the first few days nearly 50 tickets for the 2012 event have been sold. This may well be Auto Assembly's first ever sell-out event! Auto Assembly 2012 will take place on 3-5 August at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel (near Birmingham International Airport) in Birmingham, UK.

On the cards for next week is Transformers Ongoing 23, part two of Chaos Theory, as well as the Alex Milne sketchbook variant of issue 22 (which shipped late). Lastly the first volume of the Infestation TPB is shipping - this contains the two Transformers crossover issues and the two G.I. Joe crossover issues.

As the trilogy ended we even said “Goodbye!” to the Hummer and the GMC Topkick (Ratchet and Ironhide respectively). Driving a good car, above all else… is fun. But this whole “look-back” experience is tinged with the knowledge that I’m writing about something that has ended.

What’s interesting is the Camaro Tagline: "The Camaro story has no ending. It's just beginning". What do you think of the car which gave life to movie Bumblebee? Leave a thought at 2005 Boards.

Other items of interest can be seen in the full gallery and these include concept sketches for Botcon 2007-9 Elita-1, an unused Transtech Depth Charge, comic pages without dialog balloons and a whole lot more.
