New Characters - Will you Accept them?

The new show is bound to introduce some new characters. Some regulars and some one offs. Are you open to seeing original non-classic characters in the show? Better yet, will you buy the figures?

Dawg99 02-08-2011 07:30 AM

if the new characters are decent and seem cool i will buy them for sure

Reeds 02-08-2011 07:41 AM

I definitely am looking forward to the new show for stuff like that. I mean, out of the whole planet, there's gotta be more cats and perhaps of different, more aggressive factions. Same with the mutants. gotta be more baddies out there!

crackus 02-08-2011 09:42 AM

can't wait for the new show! new characters , new toys!!

Tenebrouser 02-08-2011 10:22 AM

I'm all for new characters, but I need an updated Captain Cracker and Safari Joe first.

MegaPrime33 02-08-2011 10:23 AM

I am definitely open to something new. Whether or not I'll buy the figure is something different all together.

LionO84 02-08-2011 11:58 AM

Im open to it. As long as they fit into the story and hold up with the TC mythos im all for it.

Sabien 02-08-2011 12:00 PM

Yes. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the characters they have for the new show.

Tony_Bacala 02-08-2011 12:20 PM

Yep. I'm down for expanding the universe in any way. I think watching Transformers restart every 2 years for the last decade has opened me up to companies trying new things.

So long as it's good, and keeps the spirit, I'm good.

Shishard 02-08-2011 02:29 PM

One of the best things about Tcats was the addition of new baddies and goodguys.
I hope they do add more.

Echo7Solo 02-08-2011 02:34 PM

I'm up for some strange.

Croaker 02-08-2011 03:09 PM

Definitely - open to new characters and concepts, and would, in all likelyhood buy all of the new figures.

Cheetara 02-08-2011 03:26 PM

yessss!

Lion0 02-08-2011 07:27 PM

I'm cool with new characters...But I REEE-HE-HEELY want as many classics as possible.

MONKEYMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hammerhand 02-08-2011 07:39 PM

Sounds good to me. I'm up for any character that's well-written and/or has a great design.

Jack-Pumpkinhead 02-08-2011 07:43 PM

I am totally cool with new characters. Heck, I only recently discovered Lynxana from the comics, and I'd like to see her animated. But one thing I hope they keep, call me crazy; Hachiman. That guy was Samurai Jack before Samurai Jack existed.

r3v3n63 02-08-2011 09:40 PM

Absolutely. The original show sorta jumped around with themes and character concepts, I'm looking forward to see new takes and designs of the originals but including new concepts to help solidify its presence for the 2000's

Mum-Ra 67 02-08-2011 10:00 PM

It all depends on how they look..

No, I'm not collecting anymore. The only Thundercat I'll waste money on is Cheetara.

The_Eva-Living 02-09-2011 07:53 AM

Just like Transformers, if the toys are cool I'll buy them. But my main concern right now would be the Classics.

gijoe071681 02-09-2011 09:07 AM

Yeah if the new characters seem cool I'll buy em, and the cartoons always have new characters

Bravestarr 02-09-2011 11:06 AM

I would be hesitant, but i've seen how well new characters can work due to the GI Joe line, so i'm hopeful.

Joe Moore 02-09-2011 12:19 PM

My hope is we seen an expansion of the population of Thundera. Get a glimpse of the general life on the planet. That should lead to some interesting new character types (hopefully) which should lead to desirable figures.

nitewing73 02-09-2011 12:41 PM

Definitely open to new characters. I've been watching the classic cartoon recently, since I saw some UK pics for the new cartoon and toys from Bandai and thought it would be cool if they introduce some new Thundercats or other characters.

solo0525 02-09-2011 04:41 PM

Yes !!

BLACK SWAN 02-09-2011 05:21 PM

Yup. A new interpretations of the Thunder Cats wouldn't be a bad thing. I am looking forward to it.

ThunderTomkat21 02-10-2011 02:20 AM

If the characters kick ass in the show and the toys look good, then yes.

oehtam 02-11-2011 05:52 AM

yes....absolutely

Snarf_snarf 02-11-2011 02:32 PM

yes

dolza_khyron 02-13-2011 11:10 PM

we do for transformers, and gi joe; why not for thundercats? :lol

hell, if they DID NOT create new characters for it; then i'd say, wtf is the point of creating a new series if they are not going to add anything NEW?

Lion-O 02-23-2011 05:24 AM

I look very much forward to seeing what the new series has to offer. So long as they don't screw it up. They have a golden opportunity here to resurrect an all-but-dead franchise, They had best take special care with it. I would like to see a nice balance between the new and the nostalgic. I want it to be familiar so we can associate with the characters and stories, but not an out and out copy of the original, while at the same time, I don't want them to change too much and alienate the fanbase that helped resurrect this thing in the first place.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Ratar-O 02-23-2011 11:21 AM

I welcome new characters which will more than certainly expand the Thundercats Universe.

I had completely scrubbed that from my brain. :D

But I'm open to something that kooky if they do it well enough.

Michael'O 02-26-2011 11:05 AM

Most definitely as long as we also get new concepts of exsisting characters, I want to see all of the stuff from the old cartoons then new stuff on top of that.

Valdin 04-27-2011 09:01 PM

As long as they are cool and not just added to make figures, then abandoned like Dirge from star wars. Also not lame like the bio-vipers from the gi joe renegades cartoon.
I like how they added Bengali, Lynxo and Pumyra and incorporated them in the team and not just have them as guest appearences. I would welcome new members and allys as well as villains. Bring em on. Just as long as we get through all the other classics too.
