Lion-O* 08-01-2011 02:00 PM

These things sure are taking their time to make it to retail

propazoid 08-01-2011 02:05 PM

I've now tried 4 different TRUs & 2 Targets, both multiple times since last Thursday. There is not even an area for them yet.

I can't believe these hit the east coast yet...

ToysRus get new shipments on Tuesday and Thursday in AZ. I am going to hit them up tomorrow. Does anyone know what is coming out in the first wave?

Apeface 08-01-2011 07:08 PM

They hit the east coast. Found the 6in and 4in figs today at K-mart in New Jersey

This is not called for...

Thundercats 4 inch new set of 6 IN HAND!!! | eBay

GK Punk 08-01-2011 11:02 PM

Im not surprised that there is already price gouging going on. :\ (All I want are the twins, dammit...)

LXL Guy 08-01-2011 11:41 PM

In due time I'll find them all. No need to pay scalper prices.

Shifty02 08-01-2011 11:56 PM

It's the same thing that scalper "toy stores" have been doing for the past week on Amazon.com. Buying the figures when they're available and then selling them for jacked up prices back through the Amazon Marketplace. Really despicable.

I bought a bunch of stuff off amazon that was cheaper then tru retail. You're right tho some of it is stupid and despicable.

The Eye of Thundera 08-02-2011 11:04 AM

Just tried Kmart, TRU, Target, and Walmart this morning...nothing yet :(

propazoid 08-02-2011 02:51 PM

I tried yet another Kmart today with no luck! Only positive thing is they were rearranging their toy aisles today. I will check back tonight!

Thanks for the photo update. I will certainly check out my local K-mart, now. Perhaps it will not be an empty run this time. xD

Joe Moore 08-02-2011 07:22 PM

Went to the same Kmart as friendship pony. Picked up 4" Lion-O, Tygra and Mumm-Ra as well as a Thundertank.

propazoid 08-02-2011 07:41 PM

Nice get guys!

Sure is nice to see a photo of them on pegs...I was beginning to think this was all a bad dream!... ;)

tey can take as long as they want

Waiting is what makes toys such a remarkably fun hobby. Ill wait aslong as needed, at least our stores are getting them, unlike some european countries. If I get them in hand by Friday ill be surrounded by figures and eating a bowl of cereal. Keeping the 80's fanboy tradition alive. Thundercats Hoooooooooo.

dolf334 08-02-2011 09:06 PM

What is everyone planning on doing with their figs as soon as they get them? Keep them MOC and on display or open them up?

mumm_ra_the_ever_living 08-02-2011 09:12 PM

No sighting in Arizona yet, however i did communicate with a few employees from various Walmarts here in Phoenix Arizona and all are telling me similar stories.

They will be clearing some space towards the end of Augest and Thundercats Product will be coming in to fill them.

LXL Guy 08-02-2011 09:14 PM

Total bust on my end. Nothing to note. I'll wait a month before caring again.

I'll be opening everything I get. I've never been a mint-in-package kind of collector, and don't imagine I ever will be, lol.

No dice, unfortunately...
I have been hitting all of the retail guys around me to no avail. Wish we still had K-Mart down here in Pasadena, TX LOL

Hyper Jaguar 08-02-2011 10:02 PM

I'm going to K-Mart tomorrow to try to see if I can find anything.

Are you insane???? I waited over a year for the Droid Gunship, never knowing from month to month if it was going to be canceled or not. Watching BBTS & EntertainmentEarth constantly pushing the release date back while other toys that were supposed to come after it were released before it. I've been waiting for Sci-Fi from GI Joe since the 25th line & he's still not out yet. Don't know if he'll be released or canceled or put into a 7-pack or made an exclusive. WAITING SUCKS!!!

The toys themselves, in my hand, out of the package, is what makes toys such a remarkably fun hobby.

LionOLordoftheThundercats 08-03-2011 02:21 AM

Damn Kmart! Sucks that we no longer have them here in Houston :(.

Altaica 08-03-2011 06:32 AM

Thundercats toys

Hey,

If you're not opposed to buying online you could go here: BigBadToyStore.com Search

They have good deals and seem to have a very large selection. Nice thing, no waiting in lines and no getting to the store and being disappointed that they are all out of what you want. In most cases you can back order if they are out of stock. I do however know some ToyRus will let you buy and order things by the case. I would look into that as well. I may well do that as I want to get two of each of the figs. One for MIB collecting and one for taking out and well playing with. Been a fan since I was like 9 and I totally am stoked about getting all the figures. I didn't have them when I was younger and I totally don't want to miss out this time around.

As for snarf, OMG Kawaii! I seriously hope the toy manufactures put out a plush! Oh and it would be awesome if they had a sound chip and can make those all too cute sounds he makes. I would totally buy 1 or two if they did!

And I think it would have been better if they had packed snarf with Lion-o, or at least a little scale version with him. I know several people that want Snarf and not the tank. They could always put out a little pose-able snarf by himself too. I think they should have little snarfs in different poses in little figures. I know I'd buy em if there were a few. He's so dang cute! Especially when he's sleeping.

So I wonder if any of the fast food chains are planning on putting out a line....

It would be, imho, stupid not to produce a Snarf plush. I know that I would buy at least two of them (one for me, and one for my nephew).

A multi-pack of differently posed Snarfs would be nice, but I would settle for a release of his figure outside of the Thundertank. Not that I don't like the tank, it's just not something I plan on buying.

Would be cool, but most cartoons don't get fast food promotions. If they do get one sometime, I'll be trying to get the whole set at least once, if not twice (one set to fiddle with, and the other set to keep nice...).

Lody 08-03-2011 08:41 AM

Anyone else think that the boxart for the new Thundertank is def inspired from the original boxart?

Lody 08-03-2011 08:46 AM

A friend of mine checked the local Kmart in Texas-didn't find them but there was some open space so they may be hitting soon.

Liokaiser 08-03-2011 09:24 AM

I'm off to check stores tonight.

IndyCat 08-03-2011 09:51 AM

Thanks for this

Shifty02 08-03-2011 12:59 PM

This is odd. When searching for Thundercats at TRU.com it only brings up the Thundertank now.

KobraKham 08-03-2011 01:24 PM

Spotty the 14" Lion-O at local TRU today.

I don't believe that the Sci-Fi wave is out yet. IIRC, he is scheduled for a Fall / Winter release.

omens619 08-03-2011 02:27 PM

Just a quick note on your hunt for the classic thundercats at the retail stores, a case only contains 4 figures total, 2 lion o, 2 tygra, I don't know how many cases the retail stores will get, but if there is only 4 in a case, I guess you got to time it perfectly, Oh btw, it's worth the hunt, these figures are excellent. I own 2 lion-os and a tygra, and I have 2 SDCC lion-os, trust me the pictures of the SDCC don't do it justice, it looks better in your hands.

Shifty02 08-03-2011 02:33 PM

2 Lion-O's and 2 SDCC Lion-O's?? SCALPER!!!

Just kidding :P
I can't wait until my order from Amazon comes tomorrow...although I only have the Classics Tigra & the 6" Lion-O coming as the other figures I wanted were not in stock (well...stocked by Amazon that is).

I never had Thundercat toys as a kid, but always wanted them. So this is perfect for filling that void!

Trust me once you find or get the classics your prayers are answered! Tygra is great but Lion o blew me away! These are definately worth the hype, the classics anyway. :)
